Inept Electrolygist Gave Me Scars. I was going for electrolysis for almost a year. After a while I got discouraged because it seemed like I was getting *more hairy* and it seemed I was getting scarred. I asked the electrolygist about the scarring and she said it was just red from the procedure and would fade once I stopped coming (I was going once a week). I kept going for a few more months after that but then became too upset about the "not scarring" and stopped. I used scar creams and sunblock and stayed out of the sun - it's been about 4 months since I stopped going and the "not scars" are still there and only slightly faded. And none of the hair had been permanently destroyed. I went to another hair professional and asked about it and was told that if I'd kept going for just a few more months I'd have ended up with noticeable pitting instead of just pink dots (upper lip, chin, stomach, chest - great places for scars - thanks!). Plus she could tell me *exactly* which areas the electrologist had recently starting treating - because she could tell where the hairs had been recently activated (pulling them out without properly zapping them first - making them grow back thicker and darker, just as I had suspected). Don't wast your time or money and don't trade in your hair mustache for a scar mustache - it looks even worse.

great customer service. best girls night out in ages. We were totally pampered as well as had fun.The staff was very professional and the treatments thorough, relaxing and just what we needed before the wedding.

Very enjoyable experience. I've been to several spas in Manhattan, but so many seem to be more about the hype then anything else. I was referred to this spa in Astoria through a friend and was very happy with my entire experience. I was excited to see that they have the latest treatments and products, and the masseuse is also a physical therapist, which made me feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend this spa, they gave me great advice and took the time to talk to me.
