“It's not super-sweet and I don't treat it as a dessert (I find it too filling for an after-meal thing anyway), but it's great for a pre-workout snack, a light breakfast, and is much healthier than a frappuccino for a little cold treat on a warm day.”
“The green tea yogurt was even worse -- it tasted like bitter soil.”
“light, fresh, and tasty treat.”
“The yogurt is tasty , the fruit is fresh and the staff is friendly.”

Loved it!!. My first time visit this week was to humor my cousin who's visiting from out of town and wanted to see what the celeb hype was about. I was super skeptical and am now completely hooked- both flavors were great and fruit and cereal toppings were very fresh. Neither of us knew the concept going in, and apparently the staff was less than thrilled explaining to her how everything worked, but they willingly gave us samples of both flavors and the light, refreshing taste spoke for itself! Don't go for the A/C or plentiful seating as neither exist- we parked it on benches down the block.
Go to Pinkberry if you want to leave in a bad mood.. While the yogurt may be tasty, the service is horrendous. The staff will make you feel stupid for asking if they have chocolate yogurt (which they don't). My friend actually felt compelled to apologize for asking the flavors that were available once they replied that they only had Vanilla and Green Tea. They will also make a big "stink" out of changing your choice of toppings. Don't waste your time at this fro-yo spot that tries to be trendy, but doesn't succeed. All in all, I would not go back, EVER.
Don't Bother. My freind was talking about this place like it's the best thing since sliced bread. I got the green tea with mango and coconut. It was not good. The green tea yogurt was very sour. They were stingy on the toppings. I don't understand why this place has a line going out the door.
Crazy Bananas btw 5th and Madison is better. Go to Crazy Bananas on 32nd btw 5th and Madison. It's so much better and never crouded. The yogurt is tasty , the fruit is fresh and the staff is friendly.
L.A.'s beloved frozen yogurt phenomenon swirls into New York..
In Short
A frozen yogurt chain that caused massive lines of devotees in L.A. tries New York on for size. The interior looks it could be Hello Kitty's kitchen, with a mod green-and-orange design that incorporates a pebble floor, see-through Phillipe Starck chairs and white swirl-shaped lamps. Just two flavors of the nonfat yogurt are available--a tart plain yogurt and green tea--but they're ready to be accessorized with a myriad of toppings like blueberries, granola and Cocoa Puffs.
HOLLOW YOGURT-- RIPOFF!!!!!. A friend and I were willing to wait while the two painfully slow and inefficient employees served up the yogurt we had heard so much about. When we paid $6 and change and finally were served our medium-size yogurt, the CENTER WAS COMPLETELY HOLLOW!!!! The yogurt was swirled around the perimeter of the large cup leaving a gaping hole approx 1.5-2 inches across!!!!! When we complained, we were told the yogurt is weighed and the gaping center hole is intentional. If you don't want to pay $6+ for a half-empty cup, save your money and go to 40 Carrots @ Bloomingdales 59th St. Their yogurt is creamier & smoother, and a full-size portion as well. If you still want to try Pinkberry, AVOID THE GREEN TEA SMOOTHIE at all costs! It's so bad, I choked after taking a sip.
Refreshing yogurt.. I have to admit I didn't like it at first. Initial thoughts were: what's the big deal? it doesn't taste like anything special. But for some strange reason I grew to like it and I crave for it from time to time. Pricey for frozen yogurt but the taste is refreshing.
something new!. cute decor! attentive staff! i taste-tried the regular and green tea flavors... both were good but i thought the regular was better. unlike any other fro-yo place in the city (eg. tasti d)... has it's own unique taste. not creamy but icy, not sweet but tangy... very refreshing and lite! i eventually got the regular flavor with captain crunch and oreo cookie toppings... i'd say, give it a try!
Too Sour!!.
I went to pinkberry with a friend just to try it out. First of all, the location is inconvenient for me, but I decided to try it anyway, just out of curiosity.
I tried the plain flavor frozen yogurt... it was tart, and NOT in a good way. I was unable to finish the whole thing. Anyway, I got heartburn from the extreme sourness. The green tea yogurt was even worse -- it tasted like bitter soil. Also the fruit toppings were not great: mango was so mushy, the strawberries and kiwi were really sour.
Cafe Lalo definitely tastes a lot better, and I'm sticking with them. I don't recommend this place for frozen yogurt.
DELICIOUS. Pinkberry is amazing! A light, fresh, and tasty treat. Not the best location, but worth the trip!!!!
