What People Are Saying About Dirty Disco

In Short – On the district's eastern fringe, this bi-level dance spot is ideally situated as a first or last stop on a Meatpacking romp. A few disco balls are the only distinct '70s touches in sight, but black granite bars, gold-red wallpaper and low-slung banquettes set a scene for seducing. If you can wriggle past the dorm set's mingling bodies--clad in come-hither finery--you'll catch a glimpse of artist Lane Coder's sexy portraits of nude women through the thick darkness, broken only by the passing swivel of a bright spotlight.
My Saturdays

I'm not sure why people are even complaining about Dirty Disco. I'm usually in the Meatpacking on the weekends whether if it's for a friend's birthday or just jumping from places to places. Dirty Disco is always a good option for something more chilled and none of the pretentious door. If you are someone that wrote a bad review about the door then you shouldn't be in here. First off, you never speak to the security guys, you go directly to the doorman. I think his name is Ben. It's simple, dress well and you will get in...nothing more, nothing less. The music is always GREAT!! If you are in the area, I would RECOMMEND checking out Dirty Disco even just for a drink.
- Pros: Great Music, Non-Pretentious
Horrible customer service at the door

i'm not sure who this "Monicadelosa" is who challenged my review but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Now firstly, you must be the Invisible Woman because there was no way my girlfriend and i was able to get past the security to get to the doorman unless we had inviso powers. Secondly, there was no doorman nor manager avaiable from what the 2 men outside said. There was one big brotha and one older white guy at the door letting people in. Both would not allow us inside to view the club unless we paid. Understand that we went to another venue earlier that evening and the security escorted us to the manager and we were showed around without a problem. Also understand that we asked the 2 gentlemen to call the manager for us to speak to him/her. That was when the security implied that we were making the story up just to get in. And lastly, we weren't trying to get in to party...we were trying to scout the venue in order to have a party there. Why would security not allow us to speak with a manager? If their manager knew that happened he would probably fire them both. We were gonna spend some serious bread up in there...oh well their loss.
Anyhow, i would never go there again...there are hundreds of clubs/lounges were you would be treated better at the door. For example Sutra and Level V...as a matter of fact, Level V is a more trendy and exclusive spot and they even showed us around and brought the manager to our attention.
PEOPLE...YOU MAY GO AND PARTY THERE AND THAT'S FINE BUT TRUST ME, IF YOU'RE GOING TO SPEND SOME REAL MONEY...SPEND IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Horrible bouncers!!!! Wouldn't let me and my girl talk to mgmnt about having a party there
Perfect Birthdays

My roommate and I planned our 26th birthday at Dirty Disco and we can't be more pleased. We had a small dinner party at Vento in the Meatpacking and headed over after. We called up two weeks prior and reserved the back booth. It was 20 of us and we were promised that everyone would be comp and the club honored it. The doorman was super friendly, which surprised us. All of our guests go in without a problem. We bought 3 bottles and the owner came over and comp us a free bottle. Overrall we were really happy that everything went smoothly without any problems. Thank you Dirty Disco!!
- Pros: Great service, music, everything
