Perfect salon. I am thrilled I popped into Robert G Salon -- wonderful atmosphere, talented stylists with a wonderful vibe. Saniye does an awesome job on my wild/wavy hair - and she is a doll! And Robert G is so sweet, and 'neighborhood'...makes you feel at home.

Finding Marcos- A Unique and Great Hairdresser!.
I was so pleased to recently find Marcos and Harry are working at Robert G Salon. The salon is friendly and relaxing. And, most of all my haircut is wonderful.
I have curly hair and am always fearful it will be cut too short. Marcos took the time and patience to listen to my concerns and cut my hair dry.
When the cut was finished, he explained how to style it and what products to use. Leaving the salon, my hair looked terrific.
But, the real test came when I washed and styled my own hair!
I knew than, I had an great haircut and a new hairdresser!
For anyone wanting an exceptional haircut, from a genuine and unique hairdresser, I would highly recommend Marcos.

Marcos! Exceptional Style, Amazing Service, Great Experience.
After seeing a few of my friends (both male and female) show up with great haircuts and out of this world highlights, I finally made an appointment with Marcos Abrego at the Robert G. Salon. Both he and Harry gave me about a 15 minute consultation and went to work on my color and then haircut. The service was beyond exceptional. I really enjoyed the fact that Marcos listened to what I wanted and made helpful suggestions.
He worked tirelessly on my color (single process and highlights) and gave me various suggestions on how to style it on my own.
I've had a few people stop me in the street and at the office asking me where I got my hair done. Yes, its like that.
The salon is also pretty nice. Definitly upscale but not pretentious. Everyone was super friendly, hip but not stuck up about it. Very comfortable place. GREAT LOCATION a few blocks off of the 1 train.

Alan Perna.
Alan has been cutting my hair for 37 years. It began as long and brown and is now ... short and white.
he is an amazing haircutter. He pays very close attention to detail , is totally dedicated to his work and is a delight to be with.
I can't recommend Alan and his work highly enough.

Great Haircut by Marcus. Marcus gives a fantastic haircut! He always does exactly what I tell him and I end up walking out of there feeling beautiful. He also did my hair for my wedding and not only did it look amazing, but he also helped to calm my nerves! I always look forward to getting my haircut because he does such a great job and he is wonderful to chat with. I found not only a wonderful hairdresser, but a good friend.

Great haircut!.
I got my haircut by Robert last week.
Not only is he the sweetest guy but he gave me an awesome haircut.
He made me feel very comfortable, I hadn't had a haircut in quite some time and I wanted a drastic change. He took his time and I am thrilled with the outcome! I will be back!

Horrible haircut...the sides aren't even an even length. Kind of feel like I went to the doctor's office here. You know, where the doctor talks to you for two minutes, and the nurse does all the actual work? Yea. Except in this case the doctor was Robert, and the work he did was pretty abysmal. In the 5 minutes he spent with me, he managed to give me shaggy sheepdog bangs and also left the two sides at different lengths, which I notice more and more as it grows out! What a waste of money.

Chopped.
I have never written a review before but don't go to Robert if you want a hair stylist who listens! Told him specifically that I wanted to keep my hair long and only to layer a bit in the front. He talked the whole time and cut and cut so quickly and haphazardly that by the time he was done he had chopped much more than a trim on the bottom and layers around my entire head. Now half my hair is gone in the back. Color is ok but was also done VERY quickly and is a little stripey.
Assistant could not have been more bored-was on his blackberry the whole time and when he did 'prep' my hair, instead of using extra conditioner and a little patience to get any snarls out, he just ripped them out with a brush (which any good stylist knows not to do with curly hair). Robert did not listen to me at all and instead just cut it the way he wanted. The shelf in the back of my head is definitely not what we discussed!

Dominick is the best. My husband and I have been going to Dominick every two to three months for over 20 years. In every phase of hair care, he has never failed to produce great results.

Someone who listens. I followed Dominick to the Robert G. Salon!!! Dominick is a professional, experienced stylist who listens to his clients and takes pride in his work. He is not afraid to offer his suggestions if you are looking for a change in style. The salon is comfortable and cozy. I am certain you will be pleased with Dominick's magic touch...and, his kind attention.
