The narrow space is like the lovechild of a '50s soda shop and a barn, decorated with diner tables, unfinished wood booths, cow paintings and a steer's head. Double dates and families pack the place, providing a considerable din. Tournondel fires his volley into the burger wars with a patty made from a combination of sirloin, short rib, chuck and brisket made daily by butcher-to-the-stars Pat LaFrieda. The classic is true to form, while the signature BLT burger adds a second patty, applewood smoked bacon and green peppercorn sauce. The shakes are world-class, crunchy waffle fries are perfect…

I LOVE the burgers here and the twinkie milkshake. The fried pickles are also a favorite. It can get a little crowded but worth the wait.
- Pros: fantastic food
- Cons: can be a long wait
Get the combo or else you will be paying $4 for a soda.

I've been to this restaurant 2 times. The first time (about 3 mos ago) i had a great experience, service and food was good, although a bit on the pricey side. Tonight was a different story, service was horrible. The waitress was more interested in watching the Oscars than seeing how we were doing. Once we get the check, it seems as though they have overcharged me. Doing some quick math, i realize that they are charging $4 for a coke. When a commercial finally comes on , the waitress comes over to take the check. I ask her if the bill was right and that they were really charging $4 for a soda, she says 'yes". I still don' trust her cuz it's so ridiculous and i ask to see a menu. There is no price for soda on the menu. A few minutes later,. the manager comes out and tells us that they probably should put the price of sodas on the menu. I ask, "isn't it kind of ridiculous to charge $4 for a soda? " His response, "we have to pay the rent!" So, buyer beware. If you don't get a combo, DON'T get the a soda. I see BLT burger going the same way as Starbucks, especially in this economy, just another pricey restaurant closing. Why pay $20 for a burger, fries and soda with poor service while you can go to a pub and get it for $10?
- Pros: Good Burgers
- Cons: Inconsistent Service, expensive
Limited Vegetarian Options, But Great Place

I was at BLT Burger this past Monday. I was with friends from the area and we were all trying to rid our selves of hangovers from Valentines and Presidents Day parties. When we got there, it was packed, with a 40 minute wait. We waited at the bar and started pounding back delicious Ommegang and IPA drafts. We were seated in just about 40 minutes at a booth in the back. Now, as a vegatarian, I knew I was taking a chance going to a burger joint. To my dismay, there was only one vegatarian entree on the menu and it was all sold out. I voiced my complaint to our waiter and he sent the General Manager to our table. He proceeded to apologize and explain what a busy weekend they've had and that he can definitely come up with an alternative. While waiting for our food, they had sent a round of drinks to us on the house. When our dinners arrived, the alternative they had come up with was a grilled portobello mushroom sandwich, topped with tomato and sauteed onions. Now upon arrival, I was excited as it looked delicious. When I bit into it, the temperature was just about warm. I was very annoyed and once again I had to say something. At this point, I didn't want to order the same thing again. The rest of the party's food was delicious, but as I said, I am a vegetarian. I wound up eating cheese fries and onion rings which were great. When we got the bill, we were not charged for the portobello mushroom, which I assumed. On the way out, I spoke to the GM again. He once again apologized and said this was an unusual circumstance due to the long weekend. He gave me his card and I gave him my email address. The next morning I recieve an email from BLT Burger. It was inviting me back with a guest for a dinner on them. I was shocked that I was followed up with so quickly. I responded and will set a date to be back. THAT IS WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. ANYONE IN THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS SHOULD TAKE A LESSON FROM THIS, NOT HOW TO LOSE A CUSTOMER, BUT GAIN TEN.
- Pros: Incredible service, great beers, great food, great crowd
- Cons: Only 1 veggie entree on the menu
