“Warm friendly atmosphere.”
“If you are looking for solid Irish food and drinks then I would suggest Midtown Pub.”
“best food in town”
“It was a beautifully done room with big glass windows and a whole section of tables for people to sit and eat at.”
Solid Irish Pub. If you are looking for solid Irish food and drinks then I would suggest Midtown Pub. Nice easy scene with a good happy hour. I like going here for a quiet drink.
Editorial Review. Midtown lounge offers traditional pub favorites and features flat screen TV's that are ideal for watching sports games.
great pint of guinness. I love Guinness and have tried it in just about every bar in the neighborhood and i have to say the midtown pub is one of the best. The food is better than you'd expect from a pub and the portions are on the big side. the staff is really accommodating and friendly. It didn't take long to feel comfortable. There is a new bar on the second floor which has taken some of the pressure off downstairs. Gets a bit crazy for the happy hour but there's always room upstairs.
easy to find a seat, friendly staff, but WAY TOO LOUD!. Although there are a lot of TVs, the bar nicely avoids the jockishness of other TV bars. Yeah there are sports, but the "crowd" does not excude the special kind stupidity so common in normal sports bars. I put crowd in quotes, because there was a lot of space in the back, and an upstairs I didn't get to see. The waitresses were extremely friendly and accommodating. The music was mostly 60s and 70s and would have been nice were it not played at EAR-SPLITTING VOLUME. Since you have to scream to speak to your neighbor, the competative screaming adds to the general din, so they turn up the music and you have to scream louder. This bar would be a nice mid-town refuge, if they would just TURN IT DOWN! --Drink Club is a roving group of NYC drinkers
New place has a makeover. This place has much improved upon its former Irish Bar tenent. They added soem nice booths & TV's . It really more of a neighborhood bar with a great afterwork crowd. I sometimes go in for lunch, as well and they have a pretty diverse menu from salads, burgers and pub grub.
great new spot. good food and a great crowd!! was there on thursday and had a blast big hello to johnny and aveen!!
