One of the best NYC experiences I've had was my makeup lesson with Shara last month. I loved the personalized experience; it's so much better than visiting a makeup counter and hoping for the best. I'm naturally a skeptic, but Shara won me over with her skill and the ability to choose my perfect colors! She is also wonderfully patient and had no judgements, which made learning some new techniques fun and easy. My makeup routine is much more simplified, and I tossed all the things that just were never really right for me. It felt wonderful!

My makeup application was so fabulous last week that I really feel I need to let the world know!! I had an airbrush makeup application with individual lashes for a wedding I was attending, and honestly I have never looked and felt so pretty. Thankfully, I found Shara Makeup Studio online from reading the great reviews. I am a person who really does her research before going anywhere, and this makeup studio has flawless 5 star reviews on a plethora of sites. It was such a lovely appointment. First off, I never get to visit gorgeous hotels in NYC, and the studio is located at The Pierre. Everyone was so incredibly nice. Meeting Shara for the first time was like meeting a long lost friend; I trusted her right away. What made it even more comfortable was the makeup application took place in a private room- no one saw me have my makeup done, except for me, Shara, and her lovely assistant. Sometimes I feel a bit odd having my hair done when there is someone right next to me listening in, but that doesn't happen here. I love Shara's makeup line, and purchased a few things she used on me in my application (the primer is INCREDIBLE and made my skin look fuller, even, and smoothed out). I ended up walking out feeling like a goddess and the compliments came all night long. Professional Makeup Application with Shara may become an addiction!! I felt like a celebrity, and so pampered! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Shara rocks!. I used Shara for my wedding and loved it, so I decided that after all that madness settled, I should go for a real makeup lesson. I was really nervous because I am a ligloss and mascara type of girl and didn't want to learn something that would make me look overdone. My friend came with me and had a lesson with Amanda. What an amazing experience for both of us! We both were glowing, learned so many tips at the lesson, and picked up some amazing new products!! We went out afterwards and the guys chased us all night! We feel so much more confident with our applications now. The hype is seriously all TRUE! We are both SO HAPPY we went and will recommend Shara Makeup Studio to all our friends!!

Shara rocks!!! Makeup lesson with her was so much fun and informative. I love her makeup line. I have been religiously wearing it and I am in love with my skin all over again. I am going back soon to get more stuff.

Perfection!. My lesson with Shara was wonderful! Shara demonstrated each technique and instructed me to then attempt it myself; she was beyond patient every step of the way. At the end of the lesson I had a million questions about products, all of which she answered while never pushing me to purchase anything. My first lesson was a few months ago and post-lesson my make-up application ALWAYS LOOKS AMAZING! which is insane for any girl :o) :o) :o) I can't thank her enough, and I can’t wait to return to for additional lessons.

Never Go to a Dept Counter Again. Im always leary of the makeup counter staff that try to sell you EVERYTHING, their only regard to making their quotas. I am not sure if that is true or not, but it is how it feels.

A month after my appt with Shara - my makeup applications (by ME) still look great - my morning routine is super simplified And I couldnt be happier..

I only wish I had gone in my early 20s or teens!

Flawless Makeup Application. I loved having Shara do my airbrush makeup with lashes for a big event I attended on Saturday. I found Shara's makeup studio online, and from the moment I called, I knew I was going to be in great hands. I needed to look my most fabulous, as I was being photographed with an A list celeb that night. I was so much more confident knowing that my makeup would last all night and would not be shiny or oily. The lashes Shara used were perfection! She customized them towards my exact eye shape by using individual lashes in a few different sizes. I have had my makeup done for many different events over the years, and Shara's application was the most flawless and long lasting. I found her location at The Pierre Hotel to be beautiful and conveniently located. I will definitely be returning for all of my important events, and am booking a makeup lesson with her very soon.

Best in the business!!!!. After meeting with several makeup artists to do makeup for my wedding, it was very easy to make the decision to work with Shara for my big day. The trial session we had was beyond thorough and professional. She listened to everything I wanted and had her assistant take notes throughout the session, something no other makeup artist had done, which I found very impressive. Moreover, her prices were very reasonable compared to everyone else I met with. On my wedding day she did 7 people's makeup. Not only did everyone look gorgeous and natural, she made a huge effort to take the time with each bridesmaid to make sure they acheived the look that they wanted. After my wedding, several guests approached me asking who did everyone's makeup because it was "stunning" and "flawless." Recently I took a makeup lesson with Shara, which was so informative and useful. Her techniques were accessible and her explanations were very detailed and clear. She really is top of her field!

Exceptional Makeup artist and teacher of Makeup Lessons. I can't speak enough amazing words about Shara Strand. I initially met with her, because she was all the buzz in my circle of girlfriends. They had all booked one on one makeup lessons with her, and all looked flawless, happy, and glowing! I such saw a major improvement and they got so many compliments that I buckled down and called for my appointment. She changed my life with each stroke of the brush. The colors she picked for me were so different and so gorgeous. I've had makeup done at the Saks counter, but Shara showed herself as a true artist. I loved her location at The Pierre Hotel! I also love that I can now depend on someone who knows how to pick my perfect colors. Her line of makeup is reasonably priced and my skin has never looked better. She is kind and honest at the same time. Sometimes I cant believe I could look this good without going under the knife. I have learned so so much. My advice, if you are seeking a change in your makeup or a makeover in general, See Shara. She will make you very happy.

Incredible lesson. I was given a gift certificate from my sister to try Shara's makeup lessons, and thought the experience could not have been better.

I've always been intimidated of makeup, never knowing the right way to apply and what colors and brushes to use. I needed A LOT of help (NYC is a touch place!) Shara was so patient and friendly, showing me a step by step way of creating a great natural look. Her assistant took notes the whole time (which are now hanging on my bathroom mirror!). Shara's teaching methods are spot on, and easy to follow.

This was so much better than going to a department store. It was such personal attention, from someone who not only knew what she was doing, but loved teaching it. I didn't feel pressured in any way, but I did leave with brand new brushes, a couple skincare things, and makeup I can wear on an everyday basis. Since starting to do my new makeup routine, it seems like everyone has started to notice. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new foundation and concealer. I finally found the right colors for my skin tone.

The lesson was probably one of the best gifts I've ever received. Thanks Shara!
