Best steakhouse I've ever been to. Admittedly, I'm not a huge steak eater and we don't visit steakhouses too often but I think we know what a good steak should taste like. And this one is a real winner. The one huge plus about the place is that you don't need to go all the way to Brooklyn to enjoy Peter Luger style steak. The decor and service is extremely relaxed and friendly. The steak itself is just absolutely divine. The shellfish tower is supposed to be very good, but we decided to pass on that one and head straight for the steak. Perfectly cooked and perfectly accompanied by the sides. You need to try it out if you haven't been.

One of my top 3 meal in my lifetime!!!. My mother and I took my daughter to NY this weekend for her tenth birthday. We asked the concierge on a recommendation on a good steakhouse -- and WOW did we get a good tip. We had 5:30 reservations -- which made little to no wait on the food. The staff was fun and VERY helpful. The Steak for 1/2/3 is what you need to get depending on how many people you have. We got Steak for 2 -- for 3 of us. Perfect amount. Perfect steak! Everything that was served to us was delightful!!! Next time in town... we are going back there.

Superb staff and service...awesome burger too!. i am always greeted warmly when i walk into this establishment. the host and/or owner always recognizes me. i usually have a burger at the bar...what a burger...prime grade beef, broiled medium well to perfection - with delicious hand cut fries, lettuce and tomato. the staff is warm, friendly, and competent, just right - not phony nor over the top...these guys know what they are doing. enjoy. This burger is as good as the one in brooklyn or great neck :) lol.

on fire!. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful night at Benjamin. It was his birthday and I picked the restaurant (because he's the meat eater, I'm just the half & half meat and seafood lover. Benjamin has turned our world upside down *:) Now I become a meat eater (but only at Benjamin!). We finished the steak for two!!! Yummy! From the hosts to the maitre d' to the server and bus boy...all I could remember was like living in "heaven." We were being pampered! *:) I never wanted to leave the place. We received complimentary after dinner drinks, my boyfriend's fav ice-cream plus a friendly birthday song by the crew *:))) The place is beautiful and magnificent. It's like a dream come true. Everything went so well. 2 thumbs-up! Thanks SO much!

Another Luger Tribute Restaurant. This midtown steakhouse, like so many others around town, is a Peter Luger clone, right down to the sliced porterhouse.

Superb Dining Experience. Went to Benjamin's for Thanksgiving. Opted for regular menu. Had shrimp and crabmeat cocktails which they served to be shared with my companion. She had ceasar salad. I had iceberg wedge with Russian dressing. Even the bread was top notch. Had Porterhouse for 3. My date likes to take home the extra for breakfast and lunch. Peas and onions was the vegetable. Desert was fresh berries which were fresh and excellent. Finished with decaf coffee and decaf cappuchino. Everything was perfect. Service was great. .

Perfect Dinner. This was my second time at Benjamins. Its one of the best steakhouses in NY. Service is always excellent and the steaks are cooked to perfection to the way u want. First time I went there I had the Rib-Eye medium and was great second time i had "Steak for two" medium rare and was just perfect. I recommend the german potatoes for the side. They have a great wine list. And is worth every single dollar you spend. Thanks to Benjamin and Victor.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. This was one of the better steakhouses I've been to in NY- hands down. We sat on the balcony for my girlfriend's birthday and it was very romantic. We had the porterhouse for two, which was perfectly charred, tender and just enough for both of us. After being told that the fireplace actually works, I can't wait to go back during the holidays! I've already recommended it to a few friends, and will continue doing so. Well worth every penny

Not So Great. I love trying steakhouses. This one was a bit of a waste of time. The over cooked mid grade tuna came out after the tasteless baked clams. My freind had the steak. Said it was good, but small. The lamb was a bit of a surprise. It was the loin and also tasteless. Priced ok, but the desserts were VERY expensive.

Service was good.
