Editorial Review for Juliette – by Michele Hughes
The Scene
White tiles and high ceilings offer a refreshing entry to this multilevel loft. Up front, cafe tables offer a full street view, while the back room is warmed by wooden benches and mottled mirrors. Stylish young guests dot the space, which is saturated with jazz and global beats.
The Food
Nearly everything on the menu exceeds expectations of casual bistro fare. Sumptuous escargots are bathed in a garlicky anise butter, grilled saucisson, or sausage, is crisp and flavorful, and supple mussels are enhanced by a subtle curry broth. Cornish hen makes a star appearance with delectable skin, juicy meat and a compelling side of Roquefort polenta. Although steak au poivre is aptly prepared and pepper-spiked, it's served with the equivalent of McDonald's fries that have been left under the lamp too long--a baffling clunker on an otherwise stellar menu. For dessert, try tarte Tatin with tender, zesty apples.

ive been here about five times and always had good fresh food, was there again the other day and had a crabcake appetizer special which was amazing, and i know crabcakes having spent lots of time in MD. the garden and roof are awesome and the service is good. prices are about right for a place that looks like this... newsflash, when someone spends hundreds of thousands building a resto... the drinks arent gonna be $4... haters be gone.
Pros: amazing space, great food
Cons: dont think they do lunch yet

Worth going for drinks on the roofdeck, skip dinner. I went here once for drinks on the roofdeck, and it was pretty nice. We went back for dinner in the dining room. The decor is nice, service was ok, but the kitchen is a let down. The duck part of the duck confit was good, but the lettuce was not crisp and tasted like it had been microwaved. The pork tenderloin was dry, but otherwise ok. It came on top of some soupy, overcooked vegetables and didn't work together at all. Not even close to a $30 meal (not including drinks).
Pros: roofdeck
Cons: food
