Great place for play dates and children's parties. I originally found NYCLAN through a play date that a friend organized. My son loved it there so much that I booked his 10th birthday party there. It was fantastic. Most importantly, it was completely hands off for me. All I had to do was go through a very quick checklist with their party organizer. I showed up the day of the party and everything was beautifully decorated. Everyone had a great time and I received a lot of compliments from the other parents about how fun and unique the party was. If you are like me and have already done the bowling party thing and the Chelsea Piers thing, then NYCLAN is a perfect alternative.

Great parties. My boys and I passed by this unassuming place earlier in the week and walked in since we had a little time to spare. I asked the lady what they did and after she told me, my eyes lit up. I booked some stations and showed up that same weekend with 10 guys in my crew. It was an instant bash. We played some of the latest games, including some with tons of hell-razing gore, and then loaded up some throwbacks, like NBA Jam. At $25 a head though, the price was reasonable and my friends and I had a blast. The one bummer is that they wouldn't let us bring alcohol unless we rented out the back for a private party. Overall, I had a great time and would recommend to anybody who wants to hang out with friends and wants to try something new. I'm definitely coming back, although next time I'll try and get more people in my party to take advantage of the BYOB policy, hehe.

Play for fun, or play for keeps. That's what this place is for: to play.. I spent a good decade abroad, and all over the world the arcade culture is either dead or dying. Arcades were a place for like minded people (gamers) to congregate and have fun. That's what NYClan is: a place for gamers to get together and have fun. Staffed by people who understand games and, more importantly, understand people, the employees will accommodate to make even the most casual, non-gamer comfortable in what is a touch of gamer paradise.

Do you want to learn a game? The staff will either teach you how, or find someone who can and will. Want to get better? As a tight knit community of gamers, everyone helps each other out, passing on all the tricks of the trade. Want competition? Players of all skill levels are to be found here, from the fledgling beginners, to seasoned pro-gamers. Got a game in mind you want to play with/against other people? They've got it. NYClan sports the original 80's Nintendo, all three of the latest next generation systems, and nearly everything in between.

With food, drinks, and snacks to keep you going, an atmosphere to keep you hooked, and people to hang out with, NYClan is the place for gamers. And if you're not, come on by anyway. I'll bet that you'll be pleasantly surprised.

The perfect place to be!. I've been going to nyclan since it first started, it's a great atmosphere for both hardcore and casual gamers.

The staff is great, and their are never any problems. If you enjoy hanging out with friends and making new ones, then there is no reason why you shouldn't be here.

Awesome place, awesome people.. If you enjoy games, then this is the place for you. A large, spacious area with all the games you could ever want. With 17 tv's you can play whatever you want while your peers do their thing. Better yet, NYClan has built its own community out of the NYC gamer roots. Every genre from shooter to sidescroller, NES to the PS3, NYClan has it all.

Amazing console and game selection, great customer service!. I've been to a private birthday party hosted at NYCLAN and a few of their special events. Their private party setup is incredible - casual, yet really organized. I was blown away by their game selection. They have every console since the SNES. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable about video games AND they actually care that you are having a great time. The specialty events are really fun. They are either themed or focused on one game. Friendly crowd. I'm not a hardcore gamer and generally scared of hardcore gamer hangouts. This place is bright and clean and a really great experience for someone looking to do something a little different in the City.

Video Game Heaven. This place is awesome. They have a real video game community here. Of the times I've been, there have always been people there to play all my favorite games with me. They've got it all, everything from Goldeneye to Wii Sports. One of their staff also gave me a tutorial on Gears of War before launching me into a multiplayer game with 7 other people. I had a blast and would definitely recommend to anybody who's interested in games. I can see why people swear by this place and am definitely going to be a regular.
