Fun classes, hard sweat, quality instruction.

After training at Undisputed for close to a year I have to really question some of the general intent of the negative reviews below. Charlie Cassis owns, manages & teaches 99% of all sessions at his gym. There are no full time assistants or secretaries to answer the phone or to tend to ministerial duties. Charlie does it all and has a full workload and many loyal students. Don't take it personally if his response to your inquiry takes longer than you would like or if he is hesitant to add another student to the flock.

I have done both private lessons and group instruction. Never have I been talked down to. Have I been told that my technique was wrong or that I was weak in certain areas? Yes! Such is proper instruction. If anything, Charlie is overly supportive. Classmates are supportive and friendly as well, though not much talking is done during the 2 hour group sessions which I would label as technique-based cardio.

All in all, I truly enjoy working out there. I love Charlie's "no pretend time" admonitions, the bamboo painted walls and even the "nightclub" music as another reviewer labeled it. (People working out with up-tempo music?!? Heresy!) The place is clean. Coupled with minor diet changes I've lost 30 lbs. Charlie is the real deal but most importantly, I feel great when I leave his gym.

Great Kickboxing Gym

HIGH ENERGY!!

After searching for a few months for a good gym to train in, i was impressed with an straight impact of high energy the moment I walked into Undisputed gym. While the highly accredited training assistant was being referree to two martial artists in full fighting and combative gear in the ring, Charlie The Cream Cassis was offering world champion instructional to other martial artists training on the heavy bags. From the energy I observed I knew I would have to step my game up and respond with the same energy. This proved to be easier than thought thanks to all the support and encouragement from the trainers and other students in the class. It soon became clear that high energy, support, and encouragement were not the only things Undisputed gym offered...but detailed instructional in the fundamentals and advanced art of kickboxing.

Being that this is the highlight of my day after a long day at school and working part time at a lawfirm, made it quite easy for me to make the transformation from just a fan of kickboxing to somebody actively training in the actual sport and art. I have been training for a great 4 months and am training for my own debut in a ring. For a person who could not kick higher than a shoebox to now being able to kick open a locked door, I look forward to my training session and family at Undisputed gym everyday.

Great for beginners to professionals to people just looking for a great workout, Unidisputed gym is armed with a great supportive and encouraging environment, detailed fundamental and martial arts training, and extreme high energy.

best championship quality training around from the champ himself!!!!

From the first day i walked into undisputed i knew it was different from any other kickboxing gym i had ever seen. I had spent at least 6 months searching the city for the best training, and after a few tries i found Charlie The Cream Cassis. Charlie's training methods are second to none, If you want to train like a professional fighter this is definatley the place to be. Under Charlies training i won 2 KickBoxing titles, while keeping my undefeated record intact, and this is ony the begining. I have been to many, many gyms not just in new york but in the whole USA and i have to say that undisputed is for sure one of the best. The quality of the instruction is top notch, not even second to top gym like american top team. Its also not just about the training, we are a private gym so its a family like atmosphere, very close knit and every one is willing to help each other out. The facilities are the best in new york city, there is no gym that looks as good and is as functional and CLEAN as Undisputed, if you dont agree you probably have never seen what a real boxing gym looks like. Overall This is the best kickboxing training i have recived anywhere, In my last fight i won over a current champion who had 40 fights more experience then me and i beat him in a more then convincing fashion, all because of charlie strategy during the fight. He is a super experienced fighter with knockout power in the Hands and the Feet, with an aggressive and really exciting fighting style, watching him fight i what made me want to get into it even more.

If you want to learn kickboxing this is the place to be PERIOD!!!!!!
