Best Customer Service. I live a few blocks away from the store on Bleecker and walked in one Sunday when I needed immediate attention to one of my eyes, which was bothering me. The salespeople were extremely friendly and helpful and were able to accommodate me, even though the optometrist on duty was booked solid for the day. The optometrist examined my eye and sent me to the emergency room, then later, when that visit didn't clear up the problem, one of the sales people referred me to an excellent opthamologist in the city, who told me if I had waited any longer, I could have permanently damaged my cornea. I have purchased six pairs of glasses from the store, and am pleased with every one of them. Since I now no longer wear contacts and can't really "see" the glasses when I am trying them on, I rely on the opinion of the salespeople as far as look and fit go. And I get complements on my glasses all the time. They also sell these really cool disposable lens cleaner packets that you can throw in your purse. I am really lazy about going to the doctor, so if it hadn't been for "See," I could literally have lost my vision. Obviously, their specialty is selling eyewear, but the concern and expertise of the salespeople really made a huge impact on my life and my health. Thank you!

Good selection but cust service needs a little work. I needed prescription sunglasses and happened to walk past See one Saturday afternoon. They had a wide selection of glasses that could pass for the more expensive designer lines. All the frames were out on display and you could try any of them on without having to get a sales person get them from behind locked doors. The pricing was also very easy b/c the price listed on the frame included the lenses. My only complaint would be the sales person who was a little too pushy for my liking. It seemed everywhere I turned she was watching which frames I tried on and told me they all looked great. I finally did choose a frame and told it would take 7-10 business days. Ten days went by and I finally called to see if they were in. Someone forgot to call me. Anyway, the store has a lot of great styles... they just need to work on customer service.

The store also has a refreshing hands-on policy, with the owner encouraging shoppers to grab the glasses and try them out.
