Excellant !. I went there for Thanksgiving dinner, a 1st. The beer selection was phenominal but the Bartender even better. It is so refreshing to see someone who knows their stuff. Thank you for making this Thanksgiving a good one!

Love it!. I used to work by this location and the Petite Abeille egg sandwich was standard for hung over work mornings. I went there this past weekend to get it and decided to sit down for brunch. Amazing! the sandwich was all that and more! (it's not on the brunch menu but if you ask, they'll make it for you). Comes with salad and something that looks like mashed potatoes and broccoli (fantastic). service was great, vibe was great. Definitely entering my top 5 brunch places.

Charming Cafe. Good food, well prepared, reasonable rates, and a cozy setting. Staff is friendly and attentive. A nice little café to slip into whenever the mood strikes you.

Tasty Brunch, Great Service. I saw a review of Petite Abeille on the Food Network and I wanted to try it. After reading the reviews on City Search, I was a bit hesitant to try this location, but it was the most convenient and we thought, why not?

The service was great (despite the other reviews), very courteous and attentive without being overbearing. I had the La Maison Omelet which was delicious and my hubby had the Brunch special - a waffle topped with blueberries, banana, kiwi and topped with whipped cream. Very, very good! Enjoyed the meal and it was a very nice surprise. Definitely would recommend it.

cute and yummy. We went to the 17th st location for the 1st time during the summer and ate brunch on the back patio. Our cappuccinos were delicious with cute designs in the foam. The food was average, but the outdoor seating, baguette with nutella, and coffee made it a fun brunch spot when we have friends in town.

Rude service, decent food. In a city with as many options as new york, DO NOT choose Petite Abeille, at least the 17th street location. Our waiter looked bored as we were talking him and at one point even rolled his eyes at my friend who asked a question about a special. My burger was not cooked as I asked and came with pancetta, which I specifically asked be omitted. Their wine list is not very good, particularly by the glass...we had a Riesling that tasted like grapefruit juice had been mixed with gasoline. I can't speak to any of their other locations, but I won't be returning to petite abeille on 17th street and I would not recommend it. The food was merely decent and the service inexcusable.

Le Beouf = La Garbage. I'm not a regular writer of restaurant reviews, but after a recent meal at Petite Abeille with my girlfriend, we both decided I had to post a cautionary review online.

I had the steak au poivre, my girlfriend had the steak tartar.

My steak was best described as a hunk of inedible garbage. It was undercooked (I said medium, not raw) and it was so badly marbled with fat that I had to mutilate the steak just to find a couple of tiny, tender, chewable morsels of meat. I left the rest of it on my plate.

My girlfriend took 2 bites of her steak tartar and left the rest. She said it was like eating a lump of uncooked meatloaf -- not seasoned or otherwised prepared to be flavorful. Just a lump of uncooked meat with some parsley sprinkled on top.

We felt cheated. We only have a budget that allows for eating out twice a month, and it made us unhappy that we paid out fifty bucks for a meal that was so underwhelming. Worse, we left HUNGRY!

With so many dining choices in this city, I'd encourage you to "just say no" to Petite Abeille and try someplace else instead.

Belgian flavors to match homey digs.. The Scene
Petite Abeille is one of the more charming restaurants around, ideal for a lazy lunch or light dinner. It's full of homey touches: blue-and-white checkerboard tablecloths cover the tables, a chalkboard serves as a wine list and the walls carry more Tintin memorabilia than a French nursery school.

The Food
The French-Belgian menu is small, and everything on it is satisfyingly savory, such as a simple pot of mussels in a choice of sauces (beer and bacon, creamy mushroom, or white wine-and-garlic broth); beef stewed with beer and prunes; and a juicy croque monsieur. The pommes frites are top-notch, and there's an impressive array of Belgian beers to pair with your meal. Desserts, by and large, are missable, but chances are you won't have room left.
