Gallery by day and bar by night, this Lower East Side lounge wants to take the atmosphere of an art opening and repeat it every night. The spacious showroom has a basic palette of black walls and brown banquettes, a backdrop against which the contemporary local artwork can stand out. If you'd rather invest in romance with a good-looking hipster, the best bet is late on the weekends, when DJs are playing a popular mix and the clandestine basement lounge is open.

I love this place and will go back whenever possible. I love the layout and the cool decor. I feel like I am on top of the world when drinking and meeting people here. I like to bring friends too anfd everyone leaves happy. try it please.

Very cool spot on the LES

Among the ton of cool LES bars, GalleryBar is definitely one bar not to be missed. The space features really unique art, GREAT music and just a cool vibe.

A vintage photo booth is tucked away next to the red-lit bathrooms reminiscent of a dark room, where some photo strips are displayed on the walls.
When to Go:
The bar serves booze whether it's daytime or nighttime.
Look Good:
The basement lounge, with its own private bar and custom music controls, can be rented for large private parties.
Food Served:
There's no kitchen on the premises, but the bartender will gladly call over an order from Bruschetteria on Rivington.
