Not so much. Food was all right but staff is rude. Our group of 8 got kicked out right after dessert. When we made the reservation we weren't told that we would have to leave at a certain time because of another, later reservation. Instead staff refused to take any more orders and forced us to leave. Very rude and will never go back.

We won't be back. I was really disappointed with them. My son ordered a lasagne ($12) and they told him there was a $15 minimum delivery fee, so he just ordered a garlic bread, to pad out the meal. It turned out to cost $7 for 3 dried, tasteless and tiny pieces of bread. They were so awful that if the restaurant served them for free I would be unimpressed but to charge so much, it was a deal breaker. We won't be ordering from them again.

No wait on a Friday night. Went to Max after we tried to walk into Locanda Verde and were shut out. Decent Italian food - we both had the house pasta special, which was surprisingly sweet and unusually tasty. All the plates were under $15, which was refreshing. Service was good, atmosphere was romantic. Will def go back - especially since there was no wait. Good neighborhood place for an impromptu bite.

Can You Say Ripoff. The pasta with Lamb Ragu was pasta covered with red sauce. No lamb to be found. Glasses of wine consist of 3 oz's of wine but not a diminished price. Two sips and you are on to the next glass. the former European servers are now mostly Mexican staffers. I would compare it more to a Pizza Place at St Mark's or Sheridan Square. It has sunk very far, very fast. I am saddened to say this since I used to love the place.

Max is going down hill fast. Bad food, service, and attitude. Eating in or delivery is an equally bad experience. The food has gone down hill. Ha!....they do not even send parmesan with the order because "all our dishes are finished with parmesan so there is an extra charge!!!!" oh my bad. The food is terrible as well now. The attitude and absurdity of the service combined with the overly salty and soggy food have been a terrible disappointment. Max use to be one of our favorite places but it is no longer. Oh, and the funny thing is when my 7 yr. old daughter asked for parmesan for her pasta dining in...we were warned it would be an additional $2 charge. Since when does grated parmesan not come alongside a pasta dish i asked? well, the answer is at Max in Tribeca! the waitress had the audacity to tell me it is "normal!" Am i missing something? are times really that tough?

There is nothing normal now about the terrible experience of dining at Max or ordering delivery. What a shame max has gone so far downhill. The owner should know what is happening but the staff does not want to pass any complaints or constructive crticism along. Wonder why...hmmmmm.

Don't waste your money or time on Max. It ain't what it used to be and has been bad for close to 10 months and just when you think it cannot get any worse it does!!!

Never again.

Quaint, Cozy and Delicious. Randomly picked this place after walking around Tribeca with my parents and boyfriend last week. It was pretty empty for a saturday around noon so we were seated right away at a great table on the "second floor" overlooking the restaurant. service was great - our waiter suggested a fantastic wine that we loved. food service was evenly spaced out so you didn't feel rushed or that you were waiting too long for your next course. bread for the table comes with a delicious crushed tomato with olive oil creation for dipping. The gnocchi were fantastic, as was the lentil soup of the day. sandwiches could use some more flavor - but you don't go to an italian restaurant like this for a sandwich. all in all i would highly recommend it - waiter even wrote down the name of the wine for us as we were leaving. i could see how it would be loud/slower service if it was crowded/peak time though.

bad service ok food. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at Max. Although the food was ok the service was not. I was recommended to go to Max by a friend, and decided to go there on a Friday night with my friends. Our food took too long to come to the table and one of our dishes was cold. Although our waiter was nice and polite, when we ask to speak to the Manager to inform him about our complaint with the food, he literally did not apologize ( I was not sure If he was the manager since did not look like). This is not a good customer service and at least the Manager should be polite and understand the situation and APOLOGIZE at least.

Did you ask to be put on this. The reason I ask you this is, I think it is unfair for Citysearch to put people's informatin on their site without thier consent, Invasion of privacy. I would report them.

Not a good experience.. I was some weeks ago for dinner on a Thursday night with my date and we did not really had a good experience. The food was good but nothing else.

The only table available for us was next to the door, so we asked for a different table. They told us that we could wait at the bar or sit next to the door. When we were deciding, alll of a sudden I heard someone saying in Spanish: ' If they do not want that table, tell them they can leave...' . Good for me that I am Colombian, and Spanish my native language. I decided to stay anyway, and give it a try. But the service in general was poor, the music too loud as well. I thought the person who made that comment was the buss boy or waiter, but finally I found out that the person who make that comment was the Manager of the place, which is even more surprising.

Best Gnocchi in NYC!. My boyfriend and I went to the Tribeca location last night and had the best time! We got to sit upstairs at a romantic little table that overlooked the restaurant. They have a great wine list with really reasonable prices and their Gnocchi was better than I remembered it when I had it at their East Village restaurant. I would highly recommend going here if you are looking for fresh Italian food and wine in NYC!
