Big Rip Off: Beware!. I locked my us out of our apartment and my building recommended this locksmith. The quote he gave us seemed pretty high 89 dollars to come out on a Saturday morning and then 225 for labor to take the lock off the door because he said he was a high security lock. It took the locksmith half an hour to get the lock off. He said he would need to order the lock and he would come by Monday or Tuesday to install it. Then, it turned out the lock would be $295. Our grand total for me locking us out came to $662.82. This seemed astronymical and when my husband inquired how much the new lock was, he refused to tell us and kept quoting the price of labor and the lock itself. He would not even tell us what kind of lock we needed, so we could look it up on the internet. Please think twice before using this locksmith!…

I had them replace my lock again (moving apartments like a nomad) and once again they were timely, and most importantly brought 5 copies of the key that I asked for.
