Beware of false promises... Same Story. My experience is the same as the rest of the posts. You should read them... I am still very upset. I had a party here and it was awful. I arranged a guest list before in exchange for buying some bottles. They told us to be there early, which was fine... When we got there, it was the same story as all the rest. They did not honor the arrangement. The door was was rude and discriminated against minorities regardless of their status in the event planning world. When I got in, the place was not special. Most of my guests left while I was arguing with the management. My advice is to stay away from this place. If you do have a party, insist on having the promoter or the management signing a contract (or something in writing). Get your money back when they mess up. I wish I listened to the other posts. If you are an event planner, find another venue that will better suite your clients. It has been my experience that most A-list venues live up to their promises.

STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!!!.
Please listen to the previous reviews and the words of warning. I wish I did. They are very accurate. First of all they totally LIED about what the situation would be when we originally set up the guest list. The people at the door where rude and obnoxious. I think they are mistaken and think that this was actually a trendy place. I have never seen so many ugly classless people in one place. I have no idea how the jerks at the door decide who gets in. it is def not based on looks or style.
Our group of 15 bought 3 bottles and several drinks but they were still asses when it came to letting the our friends (who were on the guest) in the club. The music was also HORRIBLE. . . the dj was actually repeating songs and would play 4 tracts off a cd at a time.
There are SO many places in the city. Trust me do not waste your time at this dump

Had a great night, proper service and fun atmosphere.. Runway is an exclusive club, which means not everyone will be allowed in, and they are not going to be your best friend at the door. They have a job to do. It was quite nice really. Not life changing, but very fun. I walked up with my partner and two industry friends and had a spectacular time. The service was very under the radar and pleasant and the staff handled my requests on time. Had a wonderful night all around and will go back soon I am sure. Toodles, Tom.

Best Friday Night in NYC. If you love to hang out right next to celebrities and models this the spot. I partied right next to Paris Hilton, and Jay Z. Me and my girls love this place! Is my favorite friday night spot , the staff is very friendly. A lot of cute guys -"Highly recommended "

That's Hot. now this is how you run a club. celebs, great crowd, friendly staff, and good DJ. I was hanging out right next to Paris Hilton and Shaq. Definetly going back for seconds.

Get Ready for the Worst Night of Your Life.
This is the worst bar I have ever been to. The bouncers that work here are the biggest bunch of idiots who love to ram each other in the butt.
Overpriced... They play country music all night long... The bouncers fondle little boys
Girls are not allowed in.
It smells like and Indian restaurant inside.

this is not not studio 54. too much attitude at the door, you have to meet their 'criteria' (ie pref b white) and they dont pay their promoters or djs... this shows a complete lack of class

Worst club Ive been to ever. I went to Runway on a monday night which is a night of "rotating Dj's" and first of all the crowd was corny. Everyone was just standing around and blocking the room. There was no room for me to dance..the Dj's did play some good music but... the girls and guys there were stuck up and rude. The girls that were on the runway dancing looked crazy and werent really doing much to be honest. I just had to leave because for some reason I had the vibe of disliking the place... I always go with my instincts.. and the fact my instincts had told me that.. ill go with it. So overall it means that the place sucked. I have never had a negative vibe about a club i have gone to like I did for runway... so just stay away from this place or else you might end up feeling the way i did.

Runway - The FAKE Way. Runway, yes exactly "Runaway"! Don't waste your time going there if you just want to hang out in an environment where people just live in a pretentious world. The wimpy staff at the door is cocky and rude and think they don?t stink. My experience was horrible. I was just out looking to relax & have a good time dancing from a long week of hard work, only to end up at a place where people forget the meaning of being "REAL". I was there with my friend and the guy at the door said to her that she can get in but not me, so I asked him why and he spoke rudely to me as if he is too important to talk to, so I told him to F-OFF! I am an attractive & confident women that is not desperate to beg to get in any place, trust me I told him off, he would not forget me. If the owner of this place is reading this review, a word of advice, if you want to stay in business "FIRE" your wishy, washy fake staff, which is not good to look at and hire people of quality, or u, can hire me to train those brainless idiots.

Rip-off!!. My friends and I were in the city this weekend and wanted to experience a "top" club envirorment. But, being guys with no girls, our chances of getting in anywhere exclusive were small. But, we did have a connection to getting on the VIP list at Runway so we took advantage of it. Going in, we expected bottle service, but what we didn't expect was it would be TWO bottles with the cheapest bottle on the menu being $325.00. One between 4 of us was a valiant effort but there was no way we could be expected to finish that. To top it off, the booth was barely big enough for two people, all of the mixers were flat and if you wanted RedBull, THAT was extra (as if they weren't getting quite enough already). The music left something to be desired and while the girl to guy ratio was good, the girls there weren't that unbelievable. At least not $835.00 unbelievable which was what our tab for the night ended up being. If it would have been one bottle, we'd have taken our lumps and not complained. But, not finding out it was two until they are letting us in the door was a real rude awakening. There are plenty of fun places in a city this size so please save your money and avoid this club like the plague.
