My experience at DEX was nothing short of amazing. I am getting married next week and I wanted a professional to match my face with the perfect makeup palette as well as application instructions. My artist was Josh, and his professionalism and personality are priceless. After the 90 minute lesson, I booked a free follow up appointment that ensures I remember everything I learned! Can't wait to take some friends, this is a true find!!

Dex New York is the salon for amazing hair. I’m a client of Scott Wasserman at Dex New York salon I normally come in for my color because they carry Goldwell & I love Goldwell but recently I just got a Moroccan treatment which made my hair from curly frizz to straight ! GET UP & GO!

Its fabulous!!

Dex NY is my new favorite son!. From the minute you walk in to see Reaven's beautiful, smiling face to the service you will receive from Naomi you will never want to go anywhere else. Naomi not only does my hair perfectly but he also does makeup too! And I recently purchased their line of makeup and it instantly transformed me. Thanks to Dex!

The Best Studio / Salon experience in NYC. Some salons in New York have the ability to make you feel less-than from the second you call for an appointment, DEX is NOT that sort of place. Raven, the receptionist is very friendly and very willing to work to schedule an appointment. Furthermore- they have, hands-down, the most talented staff in the city. Nina is the best colorist I've had yet in the city. My color is natural and even impressed my mother, who never likes anything un-natural I do to my hair.

The pricing is fair and most importantly the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, at least three staff members complimented me before Nina even rinsed my hair...not to mention the decor is tasteful and well thought out.

Long and the short of it- there's no better place to make you feel beautiful.

Scott is Amazing. Ladies, if you are looking for that stylist that listens to what you want and gives you real results look no further! Scott is wonderful. He asked me what I wanted, took his time and did a fabulous cut... bonus, he is so soothing and professional you just don't want to leave his chair. He cut just the right amount (I have long hair and am always scared to go for trims, but I TRUST Scott to cut only what he needs to). I have been looking for a stylist this good for years and a now I've found him. He is a secret I just have to share. Put yourself in his hands and you won't regret it.

Feeling good. My sister recommended Dex New York to me and I am so glad she did. I went to get my hair done and it was exactly what I wanted. They know exactly what will make you look great and they talk to you about it. The staff is so friendly. Scott did my hair and I have to tell you it was one the best hair cuts of my life. I went in to get it short and he actually did a cute bob with it. It was exactly what I had in my head and it came out wonderful.

Great Styling. I was walking past Dex New York and I decided to stop in. The shop windows were pretty and I was interested to see what was inside. When I got inside some one greeted me. It was a very friendly environment. I asked what they did here and she explained that they do makeup and hair. She showed me some of their products and I loved all the different colors. I also liked the fact that the product names were named after New York and Brooklyn street names. I thought that was very unique. They had a very clean work environment and it was very elegant. I plan to go back later and probably have my hair done.

Sparkiling Makeup. My best friend recommended that I try out Dex New York to get my Makeup done. She said that the makeup was wonderful, that they had so many beautiful shades and colors. When I went everyone was so nice to me and they treated me like they knew me for years. Cataling did my makeup and we worked together to find the perfect shades for me. There were so many different options but we were able to pick colors that would work best with me. I have to say that after she was done I looked very beautiful. It wasn't a lot of makeup like when you see women in the street with an over dose of makeup on. It was the perfect amount and it brought out my natural beauty. The studio was perfect. It was like one of those rooms where all the models go before a fashion show. I felt very good about myself and Cataling and I talked the whole time. The whole place is very friendly and while she was doing my makeup people would come in and say how nice I looked. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice place to get their makeup done and not some stuffy place. It has a nice environment, music is playing and when your waiting they have a nice couch to sit on and read magazines. They also ask if you would like anything to drink. Dex is also near Madison Square Garden and Macy's. You can go shopping when your done or before and then go out and hang with your friends. I am so glad that my friend recommended this place to me. Now when ever I feel like I need a touch up or just feel like looking nice or I need to go somewhere like a wedding I know the perfect place to go.

DEX New York's Naomi Transformed My Hair!. All my life I have struggled with my fine, curly hair that becomes insane in humidity. And then I discovered Naomi (pronounced NO-MEE) at DEX. He began with several Brazilian deep conditioning treatments to make my hair healthy and ready for the ultimate: Moroccan straightening, which he considers safer and more gentle for both of us. This process also does not interfere with coloring or highlighting. The conditioning had already helped tame my unruly hair quite a bit but the Moroccan method literally transformed not only my hair but my self-image. My hair is now silky smooth all the time. My frustrating frizz has been tranquilized. I no longer fret about how I look. Thanks to Naomi's caring touch and amazing skill, I feel like a new woman. His kindness, professionalism, warmth and gentleness all rate tens. If i were an Olympic judge, I'd give him a Gold Medal!
