The beds and spray booths at this tanning salon chain give glows year-round--and lotions sold on-site provide bronzing at home.
too expensive and a confusing system

trying to tan at beach bum is too confusing. there whole system is complicated. you could use one or two machines with each level. i have very dark skin and need the strongest beds, but i dont want to spend $1000 on a package.
- Pros: none
- Cons: expensive and confusing system
Buyer's Remorse

$36 for one 7-minute tanning session?! Sorry, make that $26 for the one tanning session and $10 for a 1.5oz. pack of lotion. Simply stated: arbitrarily overpriced and for nothing special. One tanning session there is half the price of a month's membership at a nice gym!
Beach Bum doesn't offer anything so special that it's worth the prices there. Save yourself the money and tan at a cheap East Village salon. You'll get the same glowing effect in the end.
- Pros: Location, friendly guy at the counter
- Cons: Overpriced
Overpriced, Mediocre Spray Tan

I don't know why InStyle voted this the number one spray tan in New York. The salon is incredibly warm, my appointment was double booked so I had to wait 40 minutes for my appointment, for an over-priced spray tan that last only a handful of days. I have had much better tans for half the price. Don't bother going there, go somewhere else and save yourself the time and money.
