Editorial Review for Mimi Vang Olsen, Pet Portrait Painter – by Erin Behan

In Short
You may have seen her work in local card stores or in your mailbox--a stationer licenses her work for cards and posters, as does the Humane Society. But it's the original oils in the windows of Hudson Street store that attract passersby. Olsen started her career painting people, but said she moved to animals "because people, especially New Yorkers, are so crazy about them." An oil painting of a cat or dog starts at $2,500 for a canvas sized up to 30 x 40 inches.
