WILL NOT BE EATING THERE AGAIN. My husband and I used to love eating at this place when we lived in the city. When we moved to NJ, we often visited this place.when we came to NYC. A few months ago, we ordered 2 salads and 2 sandwiches, When we got home, we found that a sandwich was missing. We didnt call the restaurant because we could not go back and get it and so there was no point. In any case we had never had problems with them before and so we let it go.

Last Sunday, we went there again for take out. We ordered 2 salads and a sandwich.My husband asked for some bread along with the salads. The lady who took the order confirmed that my order was vegetarian.

When I went home, I found they had given me a salad with boiled eggs. It wasn't the salad I had ordered. I am vegetarian. In addition, no bread was included. I feel bad because I used to really like this place but after 2 bad experiences, I dont really feel like going back.

Worthy Food. Tried it for the first time as a take out order through a KGB deal.

Counter person accepted the coupon with gratitude.

I had the soup and sandwich combo-Vegetable Lentil soup with a meditteranian sandwich on whole wheat bread. The soup cup was wrapped with tape to prevent spill which was an excellent idea. The soup and the sandwich was very very tasty, yet fresh and healthy. I did not have to gulp down 3 glasses of water while eating it. I will definitely go back!

used to enjoy...... My office and my husbands are in close proximity to Bite and we and our co workers used to order frequently. Yesterday my husband who is vegetarian and only orders veg options, was brought a turkey sandwich for delivery. When he called to tell them, the person on the phone first insisted he had ordered a turkey sandwich (not possible!) and refused to rectify the situation saying it was a big problem and he 'd have to hold on and get the manager and it would be a big deal. Frustrated, my husband hung up and just ate the salad he also got. We have vowed to never order from there again and after spreading the word at my office there will be no more bite for us here either.

Delicious & CHEAP. Bite is wonderful! The staff is really laid-back (in the good way), the food is varied and delicious, and you won't pay a fortune (expect about $5 for a sandwich and $2 for a drink). The restaurant is clean, relaxed, and they even have magazines for you to read. Definitely a spot to go alone or with one or two other people, not the place for a crowd (though I'm sure they wouldn't mind).

Quaint and Delicious. This is a cute place to grab a bite to eat. I ordered the hummus and it was delicious! And it was a nice sized portion and very reasonably priced. We also had wine and sat on the stools at the open window facing the street and we people-watched. Great experience before going down the block to the Crocodile Lounge.

The Best Sandwiches & Panini's in the city!. Was introduced to Bite through a friend and loved the food. a Great belend of Mediterranean and Vegeterian selections. Great panini's and appetizers as well. We were even able to have a few drinks there. I had a Blue Moon which I was surprised they had and my favorite had a delicious glass of red wine from their great selection. I will certainly be a future customer again!
