The Best Yoga Healing Place in the City!. I used to have arthritis and a frozen left shoulder, plus very painful calcium deposits that required cortisone shots from my MD. However, after taking Tao Yoga classes and having healing sessions at the Tao Center all my symptoms are gone! My arm has a full range of motion! Not only that, my mood is much brighter and I feel greater peace and spiritual connection. The Tao Center is a very special place to help you physically, mentally and/or spiritually. The devoted and gifted trainers start helping you immediately in a beautiful caring atmosphere. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Be careful!!. Be aware, this is Dahn Yoga, which you should google if you don't know what it is. This is not a regular t'ai chi or yoga center. It's some kind of religion or organization, but also a business.

Look at the reviews. They're all either 5 star gushing, or negative. Many of the people only review other branches of the same thing (all have different names, but they're still Dahn Yoga).

Members and instructors get a lot of pressure to recruit members (they get a commission), and spend lots of money.

It might be exactly what you're looking for, or it might be a place to get brainwashed, but you should do the research first.

This Place Has Everything!!. I love that I can do both Yoga and Tai Chi all at the same place. If I had to pay an additional fee for Tai Chi I wouldn't be able to get the benefits as I do... Plus, this is really a yoga about moving the energy!!!

So, check it out. They are always having special deals... SO bring a friend!!!

Best yoga studio in the area. I tried other places and no one was as convenient as the Tao yoga studio. I love the peaceful environment of the center. Since I'm practicing this yoga I feel more relax and at the same time more focus and energized. I'm learning how to sustain my energy and many natural ways to heal my body through exercise, from a head ache to digestion problems. I highly recommend this place.

Awesome! Energy Yoga (Can do Yoga & Tai Chi all at same pl). This is an amazing place- you can do Tai Chi/ Ki Gong and Yoga all under ONE ROOF- and no extra fees. How cool is that! I love the ENERGY elements in all the classes, especially the combination with YOGA. For me, it was a dream come true, A Yoga class with ENERGY training. WOW, it doesn't get any better than that! Since I've been praciting my connection to my alternative energy healing practice has really grown. All I can say is, this is a VERY unique practice and a wonderful opportunity to discover yourself and open up more and more. I'm SO HAPPY TO HAVE MET AND DISCOVERED THIS PRACTICE I HOPE TO SHARE IT WITH EVERYONE I KNOW and LOVE. Check it out!

Great!. It is amazing experience for me.‎ I have been practicing Tao yoga for several years. My first experience of Tao yoga was amazing. Physically I felt fine but I always felt empty and was looking for something to fulfill my heart. Stretch was really good. Some posture was easy to follow. Some posture was challenging. It was first time to feel my body like that clearly. Breathing time I could be more aware of my body and mind. In and out. in... and out... By breathing I could stay in the present. My mind became quiet and my body become so relaxed. I realize this is how to heal my body and mind. Last part was energy meditation. I felt some magnetic sensation on my palms. By feeling energy the sense of meditation was getting deeper and deeper... After my first, Tao yoga became one of the most important part of my life... I recommend Tao yoga to everybody!‎

Dahn Yoga - A Miracle For All Ages. ★★★★★

I've been attending classes at Tao Yoga almost daily for about 3 months. I find the staff very friendly and supportive. I am 67 years old and need a type of yoga that is gentle but effective in exercising every part of the body without the acrobatics and stretch and strain of many other yogas.

The entire floor is cushioned which means I don't need to carry a yoga mat around with me. Uniforms are required but I can leave them at the center so I don't have to carry around yoga pants, etc. If I come from work I can take a shower before class if needed. Music and rhythm play a great part in the work. Besides Yoga, I practice Tai-Chi and Chi-Gong and Vibration classes and each instructor has his / her own style of teaching which makes for a wide variety of techniques.

The classes are serious but also light and a lot of fun.

In the 3 months that I have taken classes I have yet to see a negative reaction from the instructors or the students themselves, who seem to regard each other as friends. When I leave the center and go out into the world I am able to take the positive feelings I receive at the center and share them with almost everyone I meet.

A Little Hidden Treasure. This little oasis is really a hidden treasure of calmness, peace, and ENERGY located smack dap in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Union Square. A place where one can really work to understanding the full potential of your mind and body. I found this place by accident and I have to say it was by far the best "mistake" I've ever made! haaa. Having been a beginner to the Art, the flexibility of the staff to join as either a member or per-class package was a really great way for me to get my feet wet and explore if this was actually something for me. For the same membership or package I am able to take either one of the Tai Chi classes or any of the yoga classes on the schedule. I'm not limited to only Tai Chi. That was a BIG bonus for me and huge seller. Also, the classes are a really great and intimate size. So, I always felt like I was getting a lot of attention. My next step in taking the more advanced form called Dahn Mu Do which is a healing Martial Arts that focuses on internal strengthening. It's truly beautiful to watch it performed. Hope you take the time to check out the center. I'm telling everyone!

A Place to Improve Body, Mind and Spirit. The staff is spiritual and always welcoming. The classes not only focus on stretching, and strenghtening, but also focus on improving organs and brain functioning. Other benefits are learning to stay in the present, feeling more relaxed and having more energy.
