Best Yarn store in NYC..IT IS A Must Visit. Immediately upon entering this yarn store you feel like you are in a 21 Century knitting salon. People knitting or crocheting, poring over patterns and books and looking through the myriad colors and textures of the luscious yarn.

At Knitty City, you can find from the basic peaches and cream cotton all the way up to the most luxurious silk and cashmeres. There are 2 tables usualy surrounded by knitters who are either taking a class or just working with one the extremely knowledgable team members. Pearl Chin has hired a group of experts who can answer pretty much any question or solve any problem you can throw at them. They are both talented and gracious.

If you are interested in taking private lessons this is also a great place, they do have a back room available for it.

For your first visit set aside at least 20 minutes..ideally 45-60!

If your family needs to be occupied while you have a good visit at Knitty City...The store is right near the Museum of Natural History and Central Park and a Movie Theatre- You will want to return again and again...

Best Yarn Store in Manhattan!. This LYS is chock full of unique yarns and the friendliest staff around. You won't regret stopping by and taking a peek around in what seems to be an endless selection of yarns. It is a true treasure.
