Editorial Review for Star Lounge – by Katie Heffernan
In Short
At the Manhattan outpost of this established East Hampton club, Charles Ferri vies for a scene that's just as elite. Whether its location under the famously gritty boheme hotel gives it more or less cache is up for debate, but allusions to the hotel's past do add character to its three simple rooms. Specialty cocktails personifying hotel guests, such as the Addict, a cranberry-Red Bull concoction, can be sipped at the sexy bar, on the main room's low-slung banquettes or, if you're lucky, in the VIP room.

Insider Tips
Fun FactThe VIP area is called Room 100, the room where Sid purportedly killed Nancy. Black-and-white portraits of crystal chandeliers add a bit of glamour, and a curtain separates the space from the main area.
DJA few local names spin house, hip-hop and more hits in the main room regularly.

This place is total queens crowd. Nasty girls with gross attitudes. Men are dogs and people are rude. Trash all around. Dont go.

I went to Star Lounge for a charity event. I was told that the strict door policy goes into effect after 10pm, and the regular crowd is exclusive. Honestly the crowd looked like the average B&T to me. There was another party going on, but it seems like the bouncers were letting anyone in. I saw lots of people casually dressed in jeans. I gave this place 3 stars because the lounge is small and cozy with a nice decor, the bartenders are nice, and the adorable Heather Graham was in the VIP room.
