MANAGER IS HORRIBLE HUMAN. Do not give this place any business, manager has incredible arrogance and is disrespectful to all patrons. Many other great venues in city, do not waste your time or money somewhere you will be threatened and treated extremely poorly.

Worst Experience. For a friend's 23rd birthday we rented out a back "room" for $35/person for 2 hour open bar. The deal seemed perfect, at the time, until we got there.

The bouncers' had a stick up their ass from the moment we walked in to the bar. They had nothing but rude comment's to make to our entire party, and didn't even TRY to be courteous until we had all the money together.

After collecting and giving the head of the party all the money, they proceeded to hand out bracelets. For those that did not want to pay for the open bar, and simply wouldn't wear a bracelet, the bouncers said they have to physically remove themselves from our area or the party would not continue. After 45 minutes of arguing back and forth, they agreed to let a few of our friends stay in our "area" without paying, but they threatened that if they saw them take even a sip of our alcohol, we would all be asked to leave.

Not even an hour into the party, a friend bought.. I repeat.. BOUGHT.. her own drink, and sat down at a table with a few other people. Before you know it the bouncer is in everyones' face screaming to take off our bracelets and evacuate the premises. Why? Because she was accused of taking a drink from the open bar, that you COULDN'T GET unless you ordered from the waitress anyway, so that wouldn't have even made sense since she didn't have a bracelet on. So again, after spending the next 45 minutes arguing back and forth with the SAME bouncer, he agreed to let us stay but anyone without a wristband had to leave.

He then proceeded to walk over to a guy friend of our's (with a wristband that must not have been visible for the bouncer to see) and he asked him to get up and leave. They got into a quarrel and the bouncer pushed my guy friend to the floor. What do you know- a huge fight breaks out and the entire party is ruined.

MORAL OF THE STORY::::

DO NOT have a party at galway hooker. Go to the bar if you're bored and want a spot to have a few drinks at , but when you want to have a party I would definitely DEFINITELY stray away from this disgusting racist and macho bar. Plus the event planner - I think goes by the name of Jacqueline- gave us all false information over the phone and hyped the place up to be something far from. The bar tries to be classy, which it is far from when they have disgusting bouncers' that would go so far out of their way to pick a fight with paying customers.

A fight broke out and two A*****es smashed my car window. A fight broke out and two A*****es smashed my car window

The bar refuses to admit it happened forget about owning up to it

So much for attempting to be a classy joint

To the Point Lunch. Looking for a quick lunch at a nice sit-down bar & grill, make sure you stop by Galway Hooker. Although rather large for a lunchtime affair, it has plenty of space and typical bar & restaurant food for your enjoyment. I stopped by here for lunch one afternoon with a friend and we were in and out within 1 hour. Pretty good atmosphere and it is cleaner than your normal bar & grill mesh. Try their $12 lunch special that comes with soup or salad and an entree (I had the turkey burger) because it's quick and it's a decent price for the area. Don't forget to check out this place during college football season as I hear it is the meeting place for USC fans.

Amazing staff- great happy hour/ birthday spot. Could not have had a better time for an after work bday/happy hour with co-workers and friends. Music just kept on getting better, little MJ rendition, hip hop, and a tribute to Swayze with a little dirty dancing :)

Our Irish server/ie best friend of the night, Cathal, was aaaaamzing!!!!! So friendly, kept the drinks coming, loooooved him- will def. keep coming back as long as he works there!

You're not going to find anything better!!!. My office was recently looking for a new spot to hold an annual event that we do at the beginning of every summer. I suggested The Galway Hooker-i've been there a couple times for happy hour and it always seems to have a great vibe-plus its huge and has a ton of different party rooms. I have to say that hands down, this was our best party yet! All my coworkers had such a blast and the service was flawless throughout. We will definitely be back for our Christmas party!

Fun place. A very fun place! The crowd is a lot of fun. Sometimes it gets totally crowded, tho. More laidback in the back where you can play pool.
