“love BBQ's atmosphere, quick service, and drinks, however, I recently visited on a Friday and it seems like the entire restaurant was filled with kids under the age of 19.”
“It has really good bbq food for a pretty decent prices and really big drinks.”
“The food was delicious.”
“Granted - Dallas BBQ is not your upscale restaurant, however, when you are hanging out with your friends and you want to have a good time and great drinks, this is definitely the place to be.”
“The only con I could list would be that our server wasn't attentive but that could be because of the holiday crazyness.”
“If you want good food, quick service, good atmosphere, good prices- go here.”
“Their in-restaurant service is slow (30 minutes from arrival until served with entrees), their delivery is VERY slow (usually an hour, even for nearby locations, and they often forget items).”

:). good place to go and eat right in the heart of 42nd place where all the action takes place
Dallas BBQ... No thanks!. I've went to this Dallas BBQ location twice. The first time I got the sticky wings which were okay. The second time I got the foot long hot dog which was just okay as well. Both times I got the virgin pina colada which was DELICIOUS and worth going for... but that's about it. The food was just okay for me, the drinks were great and the service was bad. No one checked on our table and when they did, my friend had a question about one of the dishes because he has an allergy and the waitress acted like he was asking her to move the restaurant... like it was such a hassle to simply ask the manager about 1 dish. The manager was very nice and accommodating to us but that's about it. Tried it twice and they basically failed so I won't be back again!
Terrible. I came in once, the meat wasn't fresh at all, the fries were awful and the place was very busy (I still can't figure out why), therefore the service appalling. I will never ever come back to this place
DALLAS BBQ Times Square - disgusting food and people.
worst experience in times square
Inappropriate behavior of management - I went to this restaurant on Saturday night Nov.26th 2011 we had only walked in at about 1:20am (Sun am) -- if the restaurant was supposed to close why take our money if your not even going to let us eat our meal and finish our drinks?
"Ronnie" male manager spent an hour rushing and compelling customers to leave because the restaurant was "closing". I had to use the bathroom and he even decided to walk into the women's bathroom and then proceeded to keep the door open standing in the doorway threatening me to have me leave without even sending a female in as it was "closing" -- however about 30 of his staff were still cleaning etc and I am quite bathroom shy. If the restaurant was closing why let us in to eat to rush us out before we even finished our meal? He aLSO had a full blown argument about me not using the bathroom but I ask you how am I supposed to feel comfortable doing so with the door wide open and him in the doorway?
Furthermore, I tried to reach the corporate office at 212-873-2004 to discuss this with them to be told they have no corporate office to speak with - kinda strange considering how many locations they have...
not my best restaurant experience. The food was pretty good, pricing is in a good range, and the serving size was more than adequate. Why then only 2 stars, you ask????? Service as exceptionally terrible.. I finally got my waiter's attention to tell him I needed a fork and some extra napkins (ribs are good but messy). He actually ROLLED HIS EYES and eventually I got what I asked for,but my date was more than 1/2 done with his plate by the time I started. I felt as if he was calculating the tip in advance, and decided that since there was just 2 of us, he wouldn't get what he though he deserved, so why go the extra mile. Would I go back? No
Like eating in a high school cafeteria in a bad neighborhood!. Absolutely horrible. The entire restaurant was filled with loud classless urban youths. I would not eat here again if my like depended on it. I felt like I was eating in a bad school cafeteria. HORRIBLE!
Over Rated.
My friends and I went to this place after it was recommended by the hotel receptionist locally. Being from Los Angeles the 1st impression that I had about the place was like other horrible huge food chains. But we decided to give it a chance. The waitress was rude and appeared not to like her job. When the food came out, it was lukewarm and not like "dallas" tx bbq at all. We were hungry being fresh off a flight so we ate some of it.
We asked for the manager a little bit into the meal, but before he came out he made the waiter ask what we wanted which flagged a bad sign. But the manager came and we explained that we were displeased with the food and quality of service. The manager had very poor customer service and lack of understanding, then later said he could not do any thing about the situation. We would of accepted a simple apology but we didn't even get that.
For this place it appears that the lack of food quality and customer satisfaction is starting with management on down. Its important for an establishment to realize that repeat customers come back because they like the people that represent the company and offer great food, but for this place I would give it 4 thumbs down.
The WORST restaurant experience!!!.
This is my third trip to NYC but my first time at Dallas BBQ. I'm a BBQ fan, so I was excited to try their food. It was the worst restaurant experience ever!!! Our waitress was horrible, felt unwelcome. She came by for 2 times, just to take order and then we had to ask other waitress to tell her to give us a check. Her attitude was not acceptable. For the food, ribs were great but Steak was way overcooked and had no taste at all.
Overall, Not recommended at all!
To be perfectly honest. I've never been to a restaurant that didnt offer free refills, atleast for kids. I got served my drinks, ordered, than waited about a 1/2 hour for my food to arrive. By that time my soda was half finished and flat. The waitress came by a TOTAL of 1 time berfore we asked for the check. Then had the nerve to ask if "We want to keep the change". REALLY?!?!. Her tip was added to the bill, and I would've been more inclined to let her keep the change had she done some actual waitressing. All and All the food was pretty good. I reccomend the Dallas BBQ burger.
Good BBQ place. This restaurant is always my favorite hag out place after watching a broadway show. The price is reasonable and the food is always good. I will definitely recommend it to my friends. Thanks.
