Do not eat here unless you want to gamble with food poisonin

I would give this place negative stars if I could. My wife and I who are avid sushi eaters ordered a sushi and sashimi platter dish from this place tonight. We have ordered from this place before and have been satisfied previously, but not tonight. Half of the platter was inedible. The tuna was heavily fishy smelling and tasted worse. We dcided to avoid those and try to have some of ther other pieces, but found worse. The yellowtail was mealy and especially fishy. The texture was like mush and caused me to have to spit out and made us gag and nearly vomit. We called them twice- once to complain about the tuna, where replacement tuna was offered. The second time when we got to the near rancid yellowtail, where more replacement fish was offered. No thank you, we do not want more potential food poisoning quality sushi. This was absolute unacceptable, dangerous, and absolutely poor business. I rarely write reviews on restaurants, but feel compelled to warn other diners of the danger of ordering from this place. Avoid - save your money - and your health!

The best sushi in Manhattan!

Sushi suki is a restaurant on the Upper Eastside and has the best sushi in Manhattan! The service is great and the fish is fresh. Highly recommend the mango roll and the naruto roll.

Great food, Great Delivery Service

I live on the UES, and while I have never physically visited this establishment, I can tell you that their delivery service is great. The food is very good. Once in a great while I will get a not-so-fresh batch of sushi, but that happens no matter where you go in NYC, if you order sushi enough.

The person who takes the phone orders is so friendly, and always remembers who I am. They keep a record of your address and CC information so that you don't have to keep repeating the same stuff each time you call. She even remembers that I prefer low sodium soy and no tobiko on my rolls.

I have tried almost everything on the menu, but my personal fav is the Neptune Roll. The Uni is pretty good too. The delivery is fast., rain or shine.

It's refreshing to receive such wonderful service in New York.

Are you kidding me?

After reading the rave reviews, I had to try it. I should have been wary of the fact that the restaurant had so few reviews. If it was so good, why didn't more people know about it? In any case, we came here for dinner. We found the prices to be quite high, and were amazed that you could not sit at the sushi bar. The restaurant was completely empty, which was also worrisome. We ordered the sushi special, and I ordered a piece of otoro on top of it. Of the ten pieces, one or two were of tolerable quality, and we could barely choke down the rest. The fish was probably fresh enough, but it just wasn't high quality fish and the chef didn't seem to put much effort into the work. Overall, the sushi were just oversized pieces of tasteless fish. I would not go back. One thing I can say for this place is that it is at least better than the nearby Sushi Ooki (which doesn't have a page on Citysearch so I figured I'd mention it here).

Always fresh, delicious sushi in a relaxing atmosphere

When my husband and I moved into the neighborhood, we were thrilled to find a cozy, casual and friendly sushi restaurant in Sushi Suki. But more than that, the food is always very fresh, the fish high quality and there's a wonderful variety. With daily specially created dishes and featured fishes, we are never disappointed. The young couple that owns the restaurant is very nice as well. We are pleased to see more and more people discovering Sushi Suki, as we want them to be our neighborhood restaurant for a long, long time!
