“The food is tasty & all the curry tastes different & perfectly spice.”
“THe price is ok but it is in an area with a lot of very good Indian places most of which are less expensive.”
“after a long time got a chance to eat really good indian food.”
sometimes good sometimes not and pricier than places on the same block.
Bolo has been inconsistent the 2 times I've eaten there. The first time (dinner takeout) it was some of the best Indian I've had, got the lamb tandoori (actually asked for vindaloo and since this was a take out order didn't realize the mistake till we got home) which was really good (and very spicy), Good enough that we didn't mind getting the wrong thing. We also got the Goat Curry which was very well done (if a bit bony)
Unfortunately the 2'nd time i went (lunch takeout) it wasn't as good. I got the lamb curry and it was very watery and not very flavorful and had a few VERY small pieces of lamb... it looks like scraps (again this was a take out order or i would have complained there). And the supposed garlic Nan was flavorless.
THe price is ok but it is in an area with a lot of very good Indian places most of which are less expensive. The quality when it is good makes up for the price difference but when it is bad it feels like you are getting ripped off Also the place is almost allays totally empty, both times I've been i was the only person in (with the other Indian places in the area very busy). Which might be indicative of issues (or at least pricing themselves out of the market).
Overall I'm not sure what to make of the place other than to avoid it for lunch (i think the 'famous chef' doesn't work days) and to check your food before you go if you get takeout.
Editorial Review. Authentic Indian cuisine is served at reasonable prices at the restaurant that offers tandoori chicken, tikka masala and chutney sauces.
