Love the Brazilian Keratin Treatment – If you want to go to place where they take care of your hair come to Annabelle Salon.
Rip off – First I ask for a listing of the prices and they said it varies according to length. I always pay no more than 20 dollars to wash and blow dry my hair anywhere I go and was charged 30 for an ok job. No one speaks english and when you walk in they are extremely unprofessional just sitting around talking smack in spanish. I didn't see any licenses of the stylists anywhere and when I asked no one answered. I also noticed they charge way too much for Keratin. 90 per ounce? The products they use to wash and condition your hair are CHEAP. STAY AWAY. Ladies check out Lifebooker or go elsewhere for your Keratin. I'm sure you'll have a better experience and pay a lot less.
Disappointed with my experience – My experience at Annabelle was not great for the first time visit.
1st. Annabelle the owner forgot she scheduled an appointment with me and wasn't there. I had to wait two hours before someone started my hair.
2nd My hairdresser could not speak English which made it difficult to tell her exactly what I want. In addition, her daughter was rude and ignored me several times when I asked her to tell her mom certain things. She kept giving me dirty looks for no reason.
3rd They tried using really cheap supermarket hair products in my hair. Luckily I had my own topline haircare products with me.
4th After all of that they had the nerve to charge me more than what I was quoted when I arranged for the appointment. You would have thought they will give me a reduction because she forgot my appointment and started me two hours late.
I saw how they roller set hair it was really bad. You shouldn't have to flat iron folks hair after a roller set. It should be straight from the blow dry.
I will only go back if it is last resort. My hair looked okay afterall so that is why I gave it one star.
Another Dominican Salon talking behind your back in Spanish! – Went to this salon last week and finally got another hairstylist...but still same old problem, she couldn't style my hair. I went into the bathroom to fix it only to find the other stylists cracking up laughing behind my back. As with all Dominican salons, they start of with ok service then eventually they talk about you in Spanish and the quality of service goes down. Will not be going back there!
I love my hair after going to Annabelle's – I love the way my hair came out after I did the Brazilian Keratin treatment. My hair was a out of control very curly and frizzy I could never do myself. When I went for a consultation Nelly was very nice she explained the benefits of the treatment for my hair so I decided to do it. I was very concerned as I did not want anything that was going to damage my hair more than what it was. She explained very step of the treatment and took her time and the results was great. Everyone has complimented my hair and I have recommended all my friends to Annabelle's Salon.
worst trim ever – I came in for a very simple bangs trim, and walked out looking like a moron. I'm pretty sure the person who cut my hair wasn't even a stylist, but the receptionist, WIthin 3 minutes, by bangs were massacred. They were way too short, TOTALLY uneven (like longer by one eyebrow then the other), and extremely choppy. When the other people who worked there saw what happened to me, they didn't make eye contact and would turn around. It was really obvious that the stylist really screwed up, the least they could have done was offer to fix it, or to let me not pay for it. It's truly the worst hair cut i've ever had. Thank god i only got my bangs trimmed. I'm never coming here again.
chill ladies – I come here very often. Maq usually does my hair, but it doesnt matter who does it...they're all great. And very sweet. Gabriel is great too...he will give you detailed information on anything you might have questions for. Definately come here, you wont regret it.
Professional, friendly, fantastic service! – This review is long overdue, my apologies. I was investigating brazilian keratin and this salon came up. I called and spoke to a very courteous and helpful gentleman (What was his name?) for over 1/2 an hour, asking a million questions. When I walked in I was greeted by a singing chorus of "holas" and "hellos". I barely waited before I got a detailed consultation. I have curly/wavy/straight hair-all at the same time! I was told how long it would take and that I would look amazing when it was finished. They were right on both counts! My hair was like silk, I didn't even have to blowdry it, just air dry. They told me it would last 3-4 months. It did. As for the process, the only thing I don't like is you can't wash it out for 4 days. I will write again after my next appointment, with names this time-promise!
Brazilian Keratin Treatment by Nelly at Annabelle's Salon – I found out about this salon when researching Brazilian Keratin Treatment (Marcia Texiera product) to straighten my hair. I read about Nelly and called her. She is the owner of the salon. She was wonderful! She talked to me extensively over the phone about the treatment and answered all of my questions. I live in NJ over 2 hours away and found that this is one of the only salons offering this treatment near me. My experience there was awesome! The process took 3 hours, and due to the formaldehyde (I really didn't smell anything, but some people are more sensitive than others) we both wore masks. Nelly worked meticulously on my hair to the point of perfection! I am caucasian and usually have very curly hair which definitely frizzes in the humidity. After receiving this treatment my hair is soft and sleek, and air dries perfectly straight. It's like a miracle! I have had other straightening processes done before, but I have never had results this nice. My hair looks and feels healthier than it has ever been in my whole life! After the treatment you cannot wash your hair for 4 days...ugh! This was the only bad part of the process, but I did indeed live through it. After this treatment you have to use a shampoo and conditioner that does not contain sodium chloride. I have always bought professional grade products, but was recommended to use Finesse now, and it is working very well. So, they say this should last 3-4 months... we'll see how it goes through the summer. Nelly at Annabelle's Salon is top-notch, and I would drive there again for this treatment in a heartbeat! She's da bomb!
Best Color and highlights – I went in for a color. The problem was I had four different hair colors in my hair and was frustrated and I did not want to go darker and that what everyone kept telling me to do. I wanted a golden light brown with with highlights. The stylist that did my hair was Nelly. She was very honest from the begining she told me that my hair was going to be an easy process because of all the different hair tones and that she would first strip some of the old color and then apply the new color to even out the entire hair with one solid color. My hair is also very long about mid back. She took approximately 5 hours to do the striping, coloring and highlights and cut. She was very efficient she very left the color on for too long and the color correction was beautiful. I would recommend Nelly to anyone getting a color and she was honest, and definitely new what she was doing.
