“Everyone there is really friendly and the atmosphere is amazing!”
“left with a fresh new color feeling bright and shiny again.”
“It was such a nice relaxing experience-so different than any place else I've ever been.”
“The salon staff is extremely friendly and professional.”
“usually pay around $500 for my highlights and his prices were so much more reasonable.”
“have pretty long hair and Mario gave me a perfect, stylish cut, that really compliments my face without cutting too much of my hair.”
best salon ever!.
I've been a client of Mario Diab for 5 years(i have my haircut and highlights with him), I've sent my girlfriends, and family to the salon and they have all loved it. I saw the other reviews on here and i must defend mario, he is a dear friend and extreme professional.
The staff are very friendly and always speak me, they always make sure that I'm comfortable. I've never seen nor heard of mario or his staff act in an unprofessional way, being in the salon is like being around your family. the decor is warm and inviting. The prices in the salon are fair, this is the Soho area, you get what you pay for and quality is what u get at the salon, obviously some people don't understand that. I spoke with several of my friends and they have never been misquoted a price or overcharged for a service. Knowing Mario and his staff personally, I'm sure that they treat their clients with respect.
way to go mario and team!...keep up the good work.
The worst experience of my life.
Salon Mario Diab wow i don't know where to start ...they project that nice and fancy salon to the stars but in fact the staff and Mario himslef are very unprofessional.
they have different quotes on daily basis it's like the stock market...
overpriced services-rude staff and owner-if this is what you have to go through to visit the "salon to the stars"well let's leave it for the stars...
when i discussed prices with Mario his answer was that he needs to make 150$/hr to have a profitable business as he was advised by his finanacial advisers.
Mario my advise to you get someone to teach you manners in order for you to retain your customers and to have repetitive business.
Sorry for the money of $135-200, I had high expectations and after seeing all the high reviews here.
The place, ambiance, staffs, and the haircut I got was very AVERAGE, literally, stylishly, and experientially.
I could get the same for $70-80 in many places in the city. I aslo had a rude exchange with "Dmitri" manager, who wasn't very professional sounding, nor reasonable and came off like he couldn't care less of retaining the customers base. With these price tags, I don't expect to have any rude exchanges with a staff, least of all the manager.
AZI NIROO IS GONNA BE DOING BROW DESIGN HERE!!!!. OMG! I used to live in DC and now living in NYC its hard to find that same precision brow person here! I just found out that she is gonna be coming to NYC once a month at Mario's salon, shes gonna be here this saturday the 2nd and I just called to make my appointment with her!! Im so excited!! You guys have to try her!! shes amazing!
I was in desperate need of a cut and Mario did such an amazing job! Not to mention the best blowout ever! I have naturally curly hair and it took him about 7 minutes total to make my hair straight. Plus, my hair still looked great the next day!
I highly recommend him!
Best Blonde in NYC!!!. Thanks Leslie for helping me with my color!!! Leslie is a new comer to NYC. She hails from sunny CA which means she knows her blondes. I put her in my hands and she instantly made me feel comfotable and confident. I left with a fresh new color feeling bright and shiny again.....no more yucky brassy tones. It's so hard to find someone you can trust, and I found her at Mario Diab. So, if ya want great color ask for Leslie!!!!
Yea Eric, style lives in this city!. I moved to America 10 years ago from Italy. After a few bad experiences I decided I would never get my hair cut in this city again. It took me a bit before finding a decent person who could style my hair. I have finally found him! Eric who is at Mario Diab Salon in Soho. He has saved me from the first visit, The best haircut in this city! I look forward to events and love having Eric help keep me up to par.
Robert's Great. When I first met Robert I'd been going to another salon and had never been quiet satisfied with my cut. A friend of mine had a great cut and I asked her who did it. Robert happened to be in the neighborhood, so I made an appointment. Finally! A stylist who understood what I'd wanted all along! Actually, he knew better than me. I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten on my cut and still do. He gave me a sophisticated style which literally made me feel different about myself. When Robert moved out of my neighborhood to the Mario Diab salon I followed.
Great Review proven true - Ask for ROBERT.
I could not say it better then this review...... I read this and had to give Robert a try and I could not have been more impressed!

"You Give Good Hair to Me

Good hair. It?s what we?re all desperately seeking. It quite possibly unlocks the key to happiness.
Honestly - who wouldn?t want enviably voluminous, flowing, shiny, gorgeous, bombshell hair??
(Besides people who lie when asked rhetorical questions like that above.)
We all want good hair. Great hair. S exy hair. He-can?t-help-but run-his-fingers-through-it, luscious hair.
And good hair is exactly what Robert gives.
With the precision of an architect, he crafts his cuts. That is his skill. With a notable appreciation for female beauty, he heightens your femininity and allure. That is his style.
And when skill meets style, I promise you?ll be counting the heads turn when you leave the clandestine basement salon space in Soho.
You may even catch yourself strutting as if the city streets were your personal runway. And they may as well be the way you command them with your hot new hair and the big boost of confidence that comes with it.
You will work it and you will own it.
Thanks to your new stylist, Robert."
Go see James. I have been to every major salon in NYC trying to find great cut and color, and spent plenty of money in the process- until I finally found James at Mario Diab Salon. I used to get touchups every 5 weeks, but James technique and expertise allows 2 months between appointments. He also did not do unnecessary services just to charge me extra- he was honest about what I should grow out and how long the process would take. I would follow James wherever he went!
