Anything can happen on Nim's Island, a magical place ruled by a young girl's imagination. It is an existence that mirrors that of her favorite literary character, Alex Rover--the world's greatest adventurer. But Alexandra, the author of the Rover books, leads a reclusive life in the big city. When Nim's father goes missing from their island, a twist of fate brings her together with Alexandra. I've heard mixed comments on this film. Regardless of other's opinion, I thought it was really cute. I liked the storyline and how it intertwined between the characters. Jodie Foster is amazing...has always been and continues to be. Again, my opinion! The plot was a bit predictable, but nonetheless entertaining. The grub worm dish was very interesting! LOL If you are looking for a fun family film that will be enjoyed by all....this is it!

Nim’s Island is a great movie. I am 64 and my son is 7 and we both loved this movie. My son loved the animals and the excitement and I loved the plot line, the photography and the acting. This movie is a totally unique journey into the imagination of a beautiful little girl, a cinema graphic masterpiece! My son says excellent, excellent excellent!
