The East Village team behind chic downtown shop Odin open a women's store next door. In Short
Pas De Deux is a fitting name (it is a ballet dance for two) for this Parisian-styled boutique that is the little sister to its neighbor, Odin. It's all feminine in the vintage-chic, avant garde vein with designs from Vena Cava, Alexander Wang, Philip Lim and other downtown-cool labels. The friendly staff and the decor, especially the classic checkered floor and elegant chandelier, make this tiny space feel luxurious.

To call this East Village boutique's collection well-edited would be an understatement.. Eddy Chai and Paul Birardi, the guys behind both locations of the chic men's boutique Odin, decided to keep it simple with their third store by only displaying one designer at a time. The narrow shop has a similar feel to Odin, both sharing a clean, modern look with hardwood floors and dark wood moldings. This single-minded approach to retail allows for a very comprehensive showing of each designers work, whether it's Cheap Monday, Rag & Bone or Karen Walker.
