WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE TO BE A STUDENT AT THE LIA SCHORR INSTITUTE.

I AM AT THE PRESENT TIME A STUDENT AT THE LIA SCHORR INSTITUTE.

I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING BEFORE I REGISTERED TO THE SCHOOL FOR OVER A YEAR FOR A GOOD COMFORTABLE, KNOWLEDGEABLE SCHOOL.

MY FAMILY COMES FROM THE MEDICAL SIDE OF THE WORLD. THEY’RE VERY PICKY AND JUDGMENTAL ABOUT MY CHOICES IN LIFE.

SOME OF MY CLOSE FRIENDS HAVE GRADUATED FROM THE LIA SCHORR INSTITUTE AND TO MY SURPRISE THEY FOUND JOBS IN THE BEST SPAS IN NEW YORK AND I SUSPECT THAT IT IS BECAUSE THEY GRADUATED FROM THIS WONDERFUL SCHOOL.

SOME HOW I CONVINCED MY PARENTS THAT IT WAS THE DIRECTION THAT I WANTED TO GO. I WENT FOR A TOUR AT THE INSTITUTE I WAS SURPRISED AND PLEASED TO MEET THE LEGENDARY HER SELF LIA SCHORR. SHE IS INCREDIBLE AND I WAS IMMEDIATELY IMPRESSED. SHE WAS SMART EDUCATED AND SABBY AND HAS INTEGRITY AND BELIEVES IN HER DELIVERANCE.

BEING THAT I WAS IMMEDIATELY CONVINCED THAT I CHOOSE THE RIGHT PATH, I SIGNED UP THAT NEXT MONTH. THE CLASSES ARE SMALL AND THE TEACHERS ARE INCREDIBLE THE ATMOSPHERE IS WARM. I MADE SOME GOOD FRIENDS, IM LEARNING A LOT AND IM GLAD I CHOOSE THIS INDUSTRY. IM SO EXCITED TO BE HERE AS A STUDENT AND PROUD TO BE A PART OF THIS INSTITUTE. LIA HER SELF IS VERY INSPIRING INDIVIDUAL. SHE IS A GREAT ROLE MODEL TO ALL OF US. SHE MOTIVATES THE STUDENTS AND ALWAYS MAKES SURE THAT WE ARE STUDYING AND UNDERSTANDING THE MATERIAL. I WAS ALREADY OFFERED A JOB AT BLISS AND IM SO ECSTATIC I CAN’T WAIT TO START TO WORK.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE THAT IS LOOKING INTO THIS INDUSTRY.

IM GRATEFUL TO MY FRIEND THAT RECOMMENDED THIS INCREDIBLE INSTITUTE.

Students beware.. First off, as a Lia Schorr graduate let me just say that most of the instructors at Lia Schorr’s school are knowledgable and excellent at what they do. Especially the make up instructors like Heidi. Lia may be a skin care expert and a force in the 90’s but now she is just a bitter old woman with no people skills. Some amazing instructors come and go, leaving only because of Lia’s bad attitude. She is rude to say the least.

She asks students and her spa employees to go to websites like this and leave good reviews. She lacks ethics and would probably sell her soul for cash in hand. One of my friends, a fellow student, approached Lia with 1500 dollars cash in exchange for hours and she agreed without hesitation. She is shameless.

Most of the magnifying lamps are broken, and filthy. The school is not equipped with enough supplies for all the students. There isn’t enough classroom space and the products are disgusting. The message oil, which is the same she uses on clients, is like putting crisco on your face. She will discourage you from bringing your own products even though hers will clog your pores. Consider that as a student you will be getting a facial at least 3 times a week if you are full time, i would suggest bringing your own products and being as discreet as possible.

The flexibility of this school is a joke, students just come and go as they please. The exams are the same ones students were taking ten years ago, so a lot of students would cheat. Which is pretty pointless, Thats not going to fly once you take your state board exam. Certain instructors are constantly late and on their phones during class. Lia will storm into the “classroom” and interrupt your lesson for something ridiculous. It wastes your time and your education.

This school may be the least expensive of the three schools but i think doing some research is well worth your time. You will learn what you need to learn here, but you just need to stay focused and not let Lia take advantage of your loan money or the cash out of your pocket. Get and keep all your receipts and use caution when doing business with snakes.

THE BEST SKIN CARE SCHOOL TO BE IN!!!!!!. Ever since I was a little girl I liked putting makeup on myself and all of my friends and making formulations up for my skin. Both of my parents are lawyers and always stressed to me through my whole upbringing the importance of education so I always knew college would be my first step towards a financially secure future. After high school I enrolled in a private college for a degree in law but after my first 4 years I decided that maybe that wasn’t the best area for me. I knew I always liked putting together formulations for skin so my friend told me about the esthetic school of “The

Lia Schorr Institute” where she went and raved about the owner and how knowledgeable she was and her long time experience in the skin care industry. I went to visit the school was so impressed and inspired by Lia and her knowledge that I enrolled that day. I am now a graduate of The Lia schorr Skin Care Institute and am currently working with a dermatologist and love it! I cant express enough about my new journey and how it has changed my life. I am honored to have been a part of such an incredible institute and I thank the founder and her staff for making me feel the way I do today.

BEING IN THE LIA SCHORR INSTITUTE IS THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE. I HAVE BEEN IN THE CORPORATE WORLD FOR OVER 20 YEARS, IN FINANCE. MY SCHEDULE WAS ALWAYS HECTIC. MY TWO CHILDREN WERE NEGLECTED BY MY WORKLOAD THE CORPORATE WORLD APPLIED ON ME. MY MARRIAGE FELL APART. I WENT THROUGH A HARD TIME MAKING A DECISION CONTEMPLATING WHICH DIRECTION I SHOULD GO. I REMEMBER MYSELF BEFORE I WENT TO COLLEGE HAVING AN URGE TO GO TO A BEAUTY SCHOOL FOR SKINCARE BUT MY PARENTS DID NOT APPROVE AND BEING THAT I WAS A CHILD I OBEYED THEM AND WENT OFF TO COLLEGE. I HAD A GOOD RIDE IN MY CORPORATE WORLD BUT AS MY CHILDREN WERE BORN IT AFFECTED A LOT OF THINGS AND I HAD WISHED I DID NOT GO IN THIS DIRECTION. I HAVE HEARD OF THE LIA SCHORR INSTITUTE FOR A LONG TIME AND I DECIDED OUT OF CURIOUSITY TO GO AND SEE THE SCHOOL. I WAS SURPRISED WHEN MY MEETING WAS WITH THE OWNER, LIA SCHORR HERSELF. SHE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, PERSONABLE, ACCOMMODATING, INFORMATIVE, AND WHAT A LEGEACY OF EXPERIENCE. I WAS SO IMPRESSED, I IMMEDIATELY REGISTERED FOR THE 600 HOUR CURRICULUM. IT TOOK ME 6 MONTHS TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAM. I PAID THROUGH FINANCIAL AID AND STUDENT LOANS. THE CLASSES WERE SMALL NO MORE THAN 9 PEOPLE. THE TEACHERS WERE INCREDIBLE, EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE, KIND, AND PROFESSIONAL. I MET GREAT PEOPLE THAT BECAME MY BEST FRIENDS. I HAVE OBSERVED LIA SCHORR MANAGING THE SCHOOL, WHAT A GREAT ROLE MODEL FOR THE STUDENTS. SHE ALWAYS HANDS-ON WITH THE STUDENTS WITH FULL MOTIVATION, THE STUDENTS JUST LOVE HER. THE SCHOOL HAS A GREAT HARMONY, AURA, AND ATMOSPHERE. I FINISHED MY SCHOOL AND IMMEDIATELY I GOT A JOB WITH A DERMATOLOGIST. LIA SCHORR'S REPUTATION SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. THEY WERE 5 OTHER STUDENTS FROM OTHER SCHOOLS WHO APPLIED FOR THIS POSITION BUT THEY PREFERRED THE LIA SCHORR TECHNIQUE AND KNOWLEDGE. I AM SO GRATEFUL TO THE LADY HERSELF AND WHAT SHE STANDS FOR AND HOW MUCH THIS SCHOOL GIVES TO EACH STUDENT. IT GIVES THE STUDENT'S GREAT APPRECIATION TO THE INDUSTRY AND TEACHES US TO LOVE IT. WHEN MY TWO DAUGHTERS WILL GROW UP I WILL DEFINITELY BRING THEM TO THIS SCHOOL TO ENJOY THE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE GAINED.

Worst of all the spas I have ever been to!!!!!. Terrible experience. Lia schorr is a horrible business owner. She runs the place so poorly. Walks in on clients without knocking on the door and cheats clients from left to right. The massage time that is supposed to be 50 minutes, ends up being 30 minutes. She is a scam artist that rips people off and very unprofessional. Better throw your money elsewhere. She will get complaints from the health department and consumer affairs for humiliating people...

Lia Schorr Day Spa Is A Fun Place Foe My Daughter!. I have always wanted to come to The Lia Schorr Day Spa. I had heard so many recommendations about the legacy of this spa that has been around for a long time. Lia Schorr is considered to be a diva in the skin care industry and since she also specializes in men's skin care I convinced my boyfriend to come with me. We arrived saturday morning and were welcomed by her staff who were very professional & warm to us. I have been having facials for many years but I was loyal to my facialist however when my facialist retired I knew that I would come to this spa that I have been hearing about for many years. Lia schorr's staff are AMAZINGLY KNOWLEDGEABLE & EXPERIENCED!! I truly enjoyed my experience. I loved the relaxing music, the tasty dried apricots and the lemon water was very refreshing on such a hot day. My skin felt amazing it was glowing, felt very soft and more youthful. I have the highest respect to the woman behind this magic.

Worst experience so far.... I bought a coupon and it's just impossible to get an appointment, next one June! If it was just that I wouldn't mind waiting but every time I call I have the most painful experience. When you go to a spa you don't expect to be insulted!

I will probably forget about my voucher since as for now I don't have the courage to go. It's probably less painful to lose 80$ than go and be treated like sh...

I love this school!!!!!!!. This school is amazing!!!!! I am currently in the Basic Makeup course, I plan on taking Bridal and Editorial as well!!!! My teacher Heidi Reid is fabulous. She has taught me sooo much already. I can't wait for class each week...I kind of don't want the class to end lol...The women in my class are fab as well...IT has been a great experience for me and all in my class!!! So definitely take the Basic Makeup course you will love it !!!!

The Best School For Esthetic ( Skin Care) Training. I have been in the fashion industry for over 20 years. Due to the recession and the decline in the economy, layoffs and foreclosures it was a real wake up call for me. Its amazing how one minute you can have a great job, home & family and the next minute you have lost some or all of that life without warning. Even when it doesn’t happen directly to you it can still make you feel so insecure with so many people around you that are losing their jobs. The company I work for has about 50 employees and each year approx 8 people get laid with no new hiring. Being that I am older more sensible and wiser I started to look around me to see what professions were still growing despite the economy with barely any layoffs and I realized the spa & skin care industry was still growing even though we were in a recession. I decided to start looking around at the schools that offer the esthetics skin care licensing program that entitles you to become a skin care expert and makeup artist. I finally settled on the Lia Schorr Institute of Cosmetic Training because when I went to tour the school they really made me feel welcome and such great flexibility in the schedules unlike some of the other schools had set days and times but I needed something that helped me to work around my work schedule & the everyday busy life of my family. I am so glad I chose this institute it was such a wonderful, magical experience. They have such a high education system, all the professors were extremely knowledgeable and didn’t treat us like we were just students they made us all feel important and like a family. I have learned so much in such a short time I never would have thought before this program that there is so much to learn about the science of skin care. We learned the science of the skin, product ingredient, client communication, business management, and so much more. The inspirational Lia Schorr herself is a very charismatic, knowledgeable, hard working, good hearted individual. We all look up to her and are so inspired by her achievements and work ethics she is one of the best role models I have ever met and we are all very lucky to be a part of this special school.

100 Hours Left to Go. I am a current Esthetics Student and finishing up my hours. While I am excited to graduate and take what I have learned and begin this journey that I have long awaited, and now finally feel confident that I can, the experience, the skills/tools, and the overall knowledge and education that I have recieved is uncanny. I actually started off at the Aveda Institute but felt that I was just another body and wanted a more individual experience. I started at Lia Schorr Institute and instantly felt a connection. After my first class I knew that this is where I was meant to study. The instructors were phenominal and explained things in a manner that was so easy to understand. I feel that after every class, I am able to take what I have learned and apply it to the real world, rather than just memorize it.
