Barry was friendly and professional at the same time. I've visited alot of other realtors, but Barry was by far the most effective. He was reasonable in showing us the apartments even though we were late to our appointment, and didn't give up when we bailed at the last moment on our commitments. He rolled right along with us, and ended up getting a great deal. He is enthusiastic and flexible, and keeps you up to date and in the know. I felt quite comfortable in talking to him, and knew with confidence he was on our side.

Barry Herbst was professional, efficient, and just as excited as I was to find myself a new apartment. My roommates and I had all studied abroad first semester and had very limited time to find ourselves the perfect three bedroom within our price range (between our parents, our taste, and our early move-in date, this seemed nearly impossible). We had contacted many brokers in hope of finding the one that will show us our ideal apartment. After meeting with one or two brokers and seeing some truly terrible apartments, we came in contact with Barry. Barry, who is a completely new broker (contrary to the other brokers we had met with), was the first one to suggest we look at Stuyvesent Town. My roommates and I literally had no hope left in finding something normal within our price range and finally we started regaining hope and sanity. We immediately fell in love with the area and the apartment, it was within our budget, and we were able to move in before we started classes. This success is all owed to Barry. He insisted we focus on Stuy Town as these apartments were the best option for us, and was there with us every step of the way. He went with us on several occasions to look at the apartment (since the three of us were unable to plan to see them at the same time), went with us to every signing and handed in all of our documents even if we were unable to go ourselves. He truly made this process much less stressful and within two short weeks we signed a lease on our new apartment. I highly recommend him!

We worked with Alex Carciu in finding our apt and had a great experience! He was very flexible in making an appointment to meet with us and knowledgeable about the apartments, prices and the process of securing an apartment in Stuyvesant Town. He also was there when we met with the leasing agent to make sure everything went smoothly and even after we moved into our new place, he makes himself available if we need anything or have questions. Jared helped my girlfriend and I in our first search for an apartment in the financial district. We immediately trusted Jared, which is a lot more than you can say about many brokers, and it worked out very well. He was patient, hardworking, personal and very knowledgable about the market. He was honest about keeping the places that he showed us in our price range and was extremely diligent in keeping us up to date with new available apartments that fit our needs. When he did find a place that he thought was for us, Jared brought us to the apartment on three separate occasions. On the third trip, he waited while we measured every single wall and then walked us through the lease (this took place during off-work hours so it was very easy/convenient for both of us to be there). He kept us up to date on the approval process as well. We initially did not want to pay a broker fee, but we believed Jared earned and deserved it. Without Jared, we definitely would not have found our apartment or had such a smooth transition closing the lease. We certainly recommend him and will be reaching out to him when we make our next living decision.

Jared Paletti helped my wife and I find our first apartment in Manhattan when we moved from Atlanta. While our experience with other brokers had been frustrating and exhausting, working with Jared with great. Jared worked his butt off to find our "needle in a haystack." He returned messages promptly (at all hours of the day/night), was always up front about his compensation, and never pulled the classic "bait and switch." Unlike the other brokers we came across, Jared truly worked in our best interest rather than constantly trying to selling us something. Should we have the need to move, our first call will definitely be to Jared.
