Only the very best stylist that I have encountered. I met Denise while looking for another salon. She was so easy to talk with and I decided, heck with the other salon. She fixed a bad haircut and I knew she was the best.

She is a perfectionist and will not let you out of her chair until you are gorgeous!!!

I live in Santa Barbara and have literally waited months between haircuts and color to have no one but this highly skilled woman do my hair. Her talent, expedient ability and style far exceeds anyone I have ever seen. I am tough too! I have seen LA, NY,DC, ok, you name it, but no one has exceeded this level of ability and my total confidence!

I love Denise and her personal style, 100% NYker , she is honest, sincere and has a heart of gold, Anyone that does not think she is hands down the best, I wonder what they are thinking.

Everytime, every single time, which btw is now four years as a committed client, I walk out of her cute little neighborhood salon, I feel amazing and I believe she deserves so much recognition. I also get stopped on the street, in my hotel and asked constantly who did your hair?? I love that!!!!

It is so apparent she has a caring attitude and loves to make your day!!

You, Denise are worth the flight from Santa Barbara to get the best services I have ever received. I also love Kathy who does allot of the phone services and scheduling, she is also a delight and wants you to feel comfortable while you visit!

See you soon ladies!!! I will be in NY next week!! I can't wait for Denise to see how her haircut, last one was 12-24 is still so amazing. I am totally serious, how many haircuts can endure 4 months??

A Treasure!. Denise does the best color, cut and blow outs! I have followed her for years wherever she has been and am thrilled that she finally has her own salon. Have rejected major hair salons for her work. Not only does she make everyone feel beautiful, her work is beautiful and she is the kindest, most caring woman that anyone could ever meet. What's also lovely is that there is no blaring music. You will walk out feeling stunning, relaxed and so happy to have found this NYC treasure.

Neighborhood spot, not worth trying!. I live nearby and popped in. The early visits were okay but then, things went horribly wrong. Denise is pretty unbalanced and she gets into a state which isn't good for anyone's hair. She gave me a terrible cut that took years to grow out. It's okay for a quick blow out there but I find the emotionally charged environment unpleasant and the space is too cramped for me

Fantastic hair!!. Denise is incredible! I went to Salon Amici for a nice layered haircut, which looked fantastic, so when I decided to go for a really short 'do, I went back, and I was not disappointed! I get so many compliments on my hair, and everyone at the salon is always so nice. The prices are so reasonable for the awesome quality that you get, too. I'd recommend Denise to everyone I know!

I LOVE THIS SALON!. Okay, so I HAD to write about this fantastic SALON...because it is my all time FAVE! I have been to many places all over NYC and the people here and the service is by far the best I have ever had.The interior is very cozy and up to date.And It is so hard to find a salon where stylists actually listen to you and ask you questions and then actually give you a perfect end result, and I am ridiculously happy that I found it because my hair is very important to me. Not only is Denise a perfectionist but I made the mistake of dying my hair BLACK, mind you I am pretty fair skinned so I had to pull the color out. Looking for a Salon, I was quite nervous because I knew my hair would have to undergo serious stress and I wanted someone who really knew what they were doing. Long story short,Denise knew exactly what to do and in one visit my hair looked beautiful and matched my skin perfectly. Normally it takes a few visits but I was amazed with how it came out in one visit AND MY HAIR IS HEALTHY! I would recommend Denise and Alisha to anyone, they really are talented, friendly people and they know about all the hot new looks. It is really easy to schedule an appointment too, being that Cathy the receptionist is extremely nice and will find the perfect date/timeto fit your schedule.

I hope this helped all of you people out there who are nervous about trying a new salon and are hoping to find one that is updated and affordable, and close to all the best places to shop and eat in midtown!

Denise is a hair magician...seriously. In certain aspects, namely hair stylists, I am a bit of a commitment-phobe...there may be something better around the next corner...someone who is doing things to people's hair I didn't even know existed. I have to say though that the day I walked into Salon Amici, I was stopped dead in my tracks....that was two years ago, and no one but Denise has touched my hair since. She is a serious miracle worker. I have seen her transform the haggard to comely...the objectionable to ravishing. So, if you are looking for a little magic in your tendrils...walk, don't run..because you might trip and hurt yourself...to Salon Amici. Ask for Denise, and be prepared for the feeling of hair-jubilation!!!

Denise is the best!!!. I came in having a vague idea of how I wanted my hair cut. Denise was not pushy but gave me suggestions of what she thought would look best for my face and I ended up with a beautiful haircut! She was very thorough and made sure that every hair laid perfectly. She even gave me advice on how to style my new haircut for various special occasions. I loved the products she used in my hair and the price was very reasonable for Manhattan. 5 stars!!!

Salon Amici- 4 STARS!. I love Salon Amici…Denise totally transformed me! She gave me beautiful highlights that complemented my skin tone and a fabulous cut that shaped my faced perfectly. They listened to me and gave me the look I wanted and the service I deserve! I give it 4 stars all around!

Best Haircut I've had in years!. I saw Salon Amici on Citysearch and read the review and I thought with all the positive feedback about this place I'll give it a try. Very happy that I did, not only was it less expensive then I expected but the cut was great!! Seriously I was so impressed and I loved the fact that they have a small little salon without the annoying noise of the hairdryer in the background all the time. If you need a haircut Salon Amici is a top choice!!
