“The replacement was raw & the 3rd was done right, but when I started to eat it, a rude busboy leaned over my shoulder, bumped me and started clearing the table.”
Awful Place. Stay away! We waited over 1 hour for food. The kitchen tried to appease us with free pizza, it was burnt, so was the bread. My burger finally came out. The plate was hot, but my medium burger overdone and cold. The replacement was raw & the 3rd was done right, but when I started to eat it, a rude busboy leaned over my shoulder, bumped me and started clearing the table. When asked to stop and he argued. The waiter and manager were hamstrung by a miserable kitchen and an arrogant owner, who hovered near, but refused to speak to us. A great candidate for Gordon Ramsey’s “Kitchen Nightmares”.
DEEEEEEEEEEELICIOUS RIBS!!!.
Yesterday my husband and I were heading to another 'rib joint' in Westchester which happened to be closed on Monday. A friend recommended MJY's saying "they are the absolute best you have to go there, and they are open today".
We were starving! It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon and we hadn't had anything other than coffee. So to Mighty Joe's we went. The moment we stepped in the ambiance was warm and inviting. The dining room was empty (it was a late, late lunch) and we had the entire dining room to ourselves. After being seated, we saw the roaring fireplace and just had to sit beside it. We thought we were in heaven THEN! It was so romantic. Be felt like we were cheating! The roaring fire, a glass of wine. I thought we were in an Aspen chalet (the taxidermy helped)!
Heaven... approached as a 'half slab' of sage ribs!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! and then some.
Thankfully, we ate alone because sauce was running down my chin. It wasn't pretty but the ribs sure were! We are very much looking forward to our next visit. I have to tell you... I barely slept last night knowing my lunch remnants were in the refrigerator. Needless to say... they were my breakfast.
All I dreamt about was being stuck beside the smoker during a snow storm with a big smile on my face- knowing I wouldn't run out of ribs to eat.
Hmmmmm, it's only 12:35 maybe I can still make it for lunch today!
