Nice Neighborhood Salon

I have been to several salons in Astoria and have yet to find a stylist that I wanted to stick with. That has changed now that I have seen Asia. She did a great job on my hair, listened to what I wanted and was extremely professional. The reason I put four stars instead of five is that my hair was a bit shorter then I preferred, but overall the cut was great.

Lift is the place to be!

I love Lift Hair Studio. I used to live in the neighborhood and have been going since it opened - and Asia is great. The decor is wonderful, the vibe is welcoming, and the prices are extremely reasonable for NYC. Even if you don't live in the neighborhood, it's worth taking the N/W train to Astoria Blvd and walking the two blocks. I moved about a year ago - but continue to go back!

I recently made a big change from having long hair to a short pixie cut. As some women would agree, this can be a stressful decision. But, Asia was very patient and helpful in picking the right look for me.

All in all, I would say Lift is the place to be. Check it out!

chic space, super hairdresser!

Can't imagine what the other reviewers are talking about. This place is really fun and they do great hair. I have been going to Lift for several months and have always had they same outcome...fabulous hair! They are courteous, professional, and really know their stuff. Asia is particularly charming and I've seen her do amazing color, cuts, and updos and everyone has left with glowing compliments to the staff and seemed incredibly pleased with their hair services. They are always busy and have even been involved in local fashion shows and other charitable events. Two thumbs up from me!!

• Cons: can be tough to get in on weekends
