DO NOT COME HERE. I was recommended to Dr. Chia Der Wu by Main Street Optical in Flushing to do a more indepth check up. The doctor basically did no test on my eyes, and when I ask why my eye cannot get the correct vision which is what I came to find out, he basicallly said he did not know except to rest my eyes from the computer. My mom tells me that already! So no test was done, no answers to my questions. Do not waste your time with this doctor. After a while, he said the glasses i had previously had the wrong axis (?). To top off how bad this doctor is, I ask him for my new prescription to bring back to the glasses shop to get my glasses. Made the glasses, and guess what, its completely off!!! I feel like im cross eyed and images are floating and curvy. Bottom line, do not waste your money, and time or you will be sorry. Especially when you are doing something more permanent like lasik or any other surgery with the Wu Eye Care practice.

- Appointments are overbooked. I had to wait an hour and half even though I had an appointment.

" Quick and painless and effective !! ". Dr. Wu is an excellent doctor, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking into Lasik.

I was very nervous to go through my eye surgery , but during the consultation, he actually spent a good amount of time with me , and he wasn't about rushing people through.

He really takes interest in every person he sees and lets you know the raw facts about what Lasik can do, or not do, for you.

Dr. Wu's staff is super sweet and helpful. From what I can tell, the office staff can speak English, mandarin, and taiwanese . Probably other languages as well.

My vision immediately improved ten-fold that very night. I can actually look at the computer without reading glasses now

I still wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Wu to anyone looking into Lasik. , Dr. Wu is an excellent doctor .

Wonderful Eye doctor. Dr. Wu (both father and son) are just wonderful, caring, and efficient eye doctors. I have Lattice degeneration in both eyes, and have been going for laser surgery here for many years. I've always received wonderful treatment with Dr. Wu and his son and my whole family has glowing reommendations...they really really care about each and every patient. it feels like you are visiting an old family friend. the Office staff is efficient and personable.

No thank you.. I was referred to Dr. Wu by a friend who had gotten her Botox done there last year. I can't say that I was the happiest with my experience. I had been getting treatments from my dermatologists in Manhattan and thought I would give this office a try because it was more convenient for me to get to. Bad decision. The front staff was rude and barely spoke English, the waiting room was so cramped that there was only standing room in the dirty hallways, and I had to wait over 30 minutes to be taken in. But what was worse was my experience with the doctor- not attentive, rushed me through the treatment, gave me the most uncomfortable Botox injections, and afterwards didn't even return my calls to answer my questions. Believe it or not, I would have gone back had the results been decent except that a few days after my treatment I experienced bruising around my eyes, which I had never before experienced at my dermatologist's, and my smile was totally lop-sided!!! When I smiled it looked like there was something stuck in one of my eyes and I was squinting! All in all, I would not recommend this doctor to any of my friends for Botox treatments. I am much happier making the trip into Manhattan to be in the care of my dermatologist.

Brilliant eye surgeon!. Brilliant eye surgeon! I have terms of comparison. Four years ago I had cataract surgery of my left eye, performed by a doctor of great repute. Surgery was successful but even now I feel like a foreign object exists in my left eye. With Dr Wu, it all went in synch. Efficient consultation and preparation, excellent surgery at The Mackool Eye Institute., fast recovery, and perfect vision, and my right eye fills like a natural!

I would definitely recommend this versatile doctor for many eye care procedures!

Cons: ..too modest an office space and waiting area available for such a highly-rated professional on demand.

Very supportive and patient. I had no doubt about Dr. Alex Wu's capabilities since his reputation preceded him. He was very patient and answered all my questions. He talked me through the entire procedure and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I am very pleased with the results since now I can see much better than when I first walked into his office. I'm now trying to convince my husband to get it done!!

Dr. Alexander Wu. Dr. Wu took care of retinal detachment patiently and relieved me through several sessions of eye laser treatment. I was very happy with his service.

You don't feel like your at the Doctor. Dr. Wu isn't your typical doctor that jumps right in with the scalpel and tells you what he's doing later he takes the time to explain everything step by step which to me is a great doctor. he realized that everything he was saying was very new to me and lets face it somewhat over my head and that before I made my decision he asked me how i was feeling about everything and if I needed more information or time before moving on to the procedure. I would recommend Dr. Wu to anyone who is looking for his field of expertise, he's not just trying to get you to the operating table he's very consultative and patient. Everyone can have a degree, whats more important is can you be a person first. Dr. Wu is.....

Caring doctor that I've told my friends to see!. Dr Alexander Wu is the best doctor to see about Botox. I think generally Botox is a bit of a scary procedure but Dr Wu makes you feel totally comfortable. I've told my friends who are considering Botox to head straight to Dr Wu as he can be trusted to give an honest consultation.

As thorough a doctor as they come. Dr. Alexander Wu is one of the most caring doctors that we have ever seen. Your worries and concerns are a priority to him. When he treats and examines you he does not rush. He takes his time and explains to you everything in detail once the examination is over. Dr. Wu is a model doctor. Other doctors should do half of what he does and that would be great. Once you get examined by Dr. Wu you can be assured that you are in excellent hands. I have recently recommended 4 new patients and will contine to do so.
