Fabulous Hookah spot. This charming hookah spot had the most delicous hookah I have ever had and the menu of flavors is endless. The staff was so nice and accomodating,they really pay attention. The decor and lighting make this a great place for a date(very private and romantic) but I had an amazing time with a group of my girlfriends as well. They play all different types of music which definatly keeps it interesting and on the weekends they have a beautiful belly dancer. I recommend the white grape or jasmine flavors for your hookah and you CAN NOT leave without having some of the mint tea.

great hookah, customer service and atmosphere. This unique hookah bar is the best place I have been so far (and trust me I have been to quite a lot of hookah bars in NYC). Coming from one of the Arabic countries, where going to hookah bars with bunch of friends is quite popular, I have been looking for a place in Manhattan to invite one of my Russian friends. I decided to check this hookah bar out (I live on lower East side, and this spot seemed very convenient for me). We ordered double apple flavor, which was amazing. I have to admit that they carry quite a lot of tobacco flavors (try also white grape, or double flavor: strawberry - banana). The service was unbelievable. The owner of the place, Karam, makes sure that everything goes well; they constantly checked whether everything was to our liking, and what amazed me the most is that the do change coals quite often, I didn't have to ask a single time!!! (when I went to other hookah bars, they just bring the hookah and just forget about you for at least 20 mins especially when it is busy). The place is very clean, cozy, and has the Egyptian artwork covering the walls. The owner of the place even performed a show for us, he blew hookah bubbles!!! that was pretty amazing!!! I had such a great experience that the next night, I invited my friends from DC, who were visiting NYC, to this hookah bar, because I was 100% sure that nothing would spoil our time at Khufu. We ordered couple hookahs, and got the third one for free from the owner!!! What a surprise! Now they have one more loyal customer: high quality tobacco, great atmosphere, premium customer service, well designed and clean place, very affordable prices, great location, and free hookah. I couldn't ask for more!!!

BEST HOOKAH IN THE E-VIL. This is a great place right in the middle of the east village and not expensive as most hookah spot in the areas!! The ambience is perfect for a date or for an evening with friends in a chilled atmosphere, hookah is real sweet and service is friendly, Karam Paul and Naty will make your evening a feast! You can listen to some great music and enjoy some very good food as well. GO FOR IT :)

Cafe Khufu. great place for a date, food is great, try the Tabula salad

the hookah is unbelievable, nice cosy atmosphere. very friendly service

not crowded, and not to smokey, great place to chill

i got a free hookah with more than a $25.00 order by joining their myspace friends list

!!! I SWEAR THE BEST HOOKAH IN NYC , INEXPENSIVE, AND CHILL AS HELL!!!. Forget the rest of those cheesy Hookah joints. I have been to every hookah cafe and lounge in NYC and as you all will agree ... THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!! Not to mention the sole purpose for going to these places, the hookah, and most of the time they so bad that you have no choice but to just get up and leave.Either there isnt not enough coal, cheesy flavors, and cheap product. They always advertise premium shisha . But w all know they serve us the CHEAP STUFF!!!!

Now let me tell you about CAFE KHUFU. This place is not only chill but had these cool ancient Egyptian murals. Made me feel like I was in an old tomb, or inside the great pyramid itself. The service was totally amazing. I never had to wait for a server to ask me if I needed something, it was like they were clairvoyant I swear. I could not believe the level of service and quality of everything from their great appetizers and sandwich menu, they made me the best mango smoothie I have ever had!! Usually I don't celebrate a great sandwich but I had a pannini, I think they called it the "NAPA," and my God I was blown away. This place made sure I had a great time, I didnt feel cheesed out at all, like I do usually do at these hookah cafes. I hate to let the secret out, but here it is. THIS PLACE IS FILLED PRETTY GIRLS< IN GROUPS NO LESS!!. I defy you to not have a great time at this place.
