Thai Select

Healthy, modern Thai cuisine with worldly flare

  • Thai Specials

Located in midtown-west area of Manhattan, Thai Select offers healthy, modern Thai cuisine with worldly flare. The signature taste remains authentic and Thai in flavor, but the presentation might be a bit French in aesthetics, a bit Italian in portion and a bit Japanese in simplicity. With dishes like Kee Mao Fettuccini (made with whole wheat pasta) and Fruit Fried Rice (stir-fried with seasonal fruits) and Coconut Puff Martini (jumbo shrimp hand-battered in coconut strips), the kitchen selects only the very best dishes in Thai cuisine and only the freshest of ingredients picked from the farmer's market for our patrons; hence the name, Thai Select.

My first time ever ordering from there, getting it delivered to my office. I'm looking at the menu thinking it's the most amazing thing in the world. I ordered A Vegetable Pad Thai and the Pad Thai Spring Rolls. The spring rolls were pretty decent, a lot of flavors in just one bite. Nothing too special tho. The Pad Thai was not at all a dish I would get again. It was too sweet, and the only flavors i got were the crunch from the veggies. I would have liked it to be wayy more spicy, after all, isn't that what Thai food is all about? Seems like a nice place, people are very polite, but not something I would order again. I've had better.

Pros: Service

Cons: Food

This place is a great hole in the wall on 9th ave! I used to live across the street and miss it so much now. I would go probably once a week or so for a year and loved it every single time! I have brought many many friends and they all LOVED IT! They ask me to go back all the time which i never turn down. The mood is relaxing, modern. Friendly staff, And WONDERFUL FOOD PRESENTATION! I have tried alot on the menu: I recommend: Crab meat fried rice, salmon!!!, massaman beef, calamari.. pretty much everything! DONT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS TRY IT FOR YOURSELF. I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT I DO LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Pros: Food and Food Presentation

Cons: Nope~!
