Terrible. Terrible. What was suppose to be roast duck over rice was duck skin and shreds over rice. It seemed like they took the leftovers from other plates and put it on mine.
Great Lunch Spot. I have gotten take out and eaten in for lunch and really enjoy it. The food is great for the price and staff is great.
I've had better. My first time ever ordering from there, getting it delivered to my office. I'm looking at the menu thinking it's the most amazing thing in the world. I ordered A Vegetable Pad Thai and the Pad Thai Spring Rolls. The spring rolls were pretty decent, a lot of flavors in just one bite. Nothing too special tho. The Pad Thai was not at all a dish I would get again. It was too sweet, and the only flavors i got were the crunch from the veggies. I would have liked it to be wayy more spicy, after all, isn't that what Thai food is all about? Seems like a nice place, people are very polite, but not something I would order again. I've had better.
ALWAYS AWESOME!. This place is a great hole in the wall on 9th ave! I used to live across the street and miss it so much now. I would go probably once a week or so for a year and loved it every single time! I have brought many many friends and they all LOVED IT! They ask me to go back all the time which i never turn down. The mood is relaxing, modern. Friendly staff, And WONDERFUL FOOD PRESENTATION! I have tried alot on the menu: I recommend: Crab meat fried rice, salmon!!!, massaman beef, calamari.. pretty much everything! DONT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS TRY IT FOR YOURSELF. I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT I DO LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
nice find.
came here the other night after searching for nearby restaurants close to the 34th St & 8th Ave. Loews. got here about 8ish on a wet sunday evening and the place was surprisngly busy.
we started off w/ the curry puffs & vegetable dumplings which were both yummy. we also got the Vegetarian Soup (Bean curd, mushroom, shredded vegetables, bean vermicelli, seaweed served in classic vegetarian broth) which was perfect for a cold rainy day, i slurped every last drop.
for entree we shared the Pad See-ew & the Pineapple Fried Rice which were both ok but ive had better, but not bad by any means.
id definitely come back to try more items on the menu. the decor was cute and the thai iced coffee was good.
Inedible Appetizer, Rude, Angry Service. There was something hard in the chicken shumai like pieces of stone or glass. We called the manager. She said it must be chicken bones. She took the dish away without any apology. When we asked for the check, we found she charged us for chicken shumai anyway. We asked her to remove the charge. She came back and threw the bill on the table. We never experienced such terrible attitude and rude service in any restaurant. It's not even our fault. DON'T GO!!!
Horrible service. My co-workers and I wanted to have a nice and relaxing Friday lunch. Most of us had been here before - we all thought the food was great even though the service was not. We ordered less than 5 minutes after sitting down, and almost 1 hour later, we noticed tables that sat down 30 minutes after us were getting their meals before ours. 4 out of 5 meals finally came out, and the 5th took another 15 minutes. None of the staff even apologized - they all actually acted like we shouldn't have taken issue w/ the service. The food might be tasty but going on your lunch break is a bad idea.
Hidden Secret. Went two times during our stay in NYC. The Thai fried rice with shrimp was exceptional. I also had the Tom Yung Koong and it was good. Be sure to have the sticky rice with mango if it is in season. Service was nice with all the help very friendly. Lunch time is the busiest with the locals. Dinner gets more tourists.
Editorial Review. Signature dishes like a coconut puff martini and crispy duck in raspberry sauce distinguish this Midtown Thai spot.
