Cozy Wine & Cheese Nook in Hell's Kitchen. This tiny cheese and wine cafe offers a extensive list of wines from several regions around the world but that isn't even the best part. The list of cheeses is organized by type and gives a full sensory description of each one while paired with the perfect condiment to enhance the flavor. Favorite pairing so far? Gorganzola piccante with maple fudge! Tables fill up fast, but sitting at the bar is my favorite because that is where I can watch every order prepared and plated so artistically!

Favorite place in New York. I ate at Casellula while in town on business two weeks ago. I ate there at the suggestion of someone I met on the plane ride over from California.

Oh. my. God. Best place ever.

First, I have to say that I am obsessed with cheese. The cheese here was AMAZING and the pairings could not have been more perfect. My favorite was the Ossau-Iraty with some sort of sugar fudge. I ordered another round of it - it was amazing. The Ploughgate Willoughby with the coconut macaroon was another excellent pairing. My friend and I also got a meat plate and the ricotta crostini - delicious. We shared a bottle of wine and felt pleasantly full, all for $100 (which is pretty good for a delicious meal in the city).

The Fromager, Tia?, was super helpful and spent time at our table explaining everything and gave excellent suggestions. Really knew what to give us based on what we did and did not like in a cheese.

I have been talking about this restaurant non-stop since I came back to California. I would love for Casellula to open a venue out here in LA. They would have a guaranteed weekly patron!

Other people mentioned that the service was poor, but I did not experience anything remotely close to this. When my friend and I arrived, all tables were full but we sat at the bar and drank wine until a table opened up. They were very accommodating and pleasant though the entire evening.

I would highly recommend you try Casellula if eating excellent cheese while drinking phenomenal wine is your thing.

Will Never Eat Here. The hostess was so rude! They acted like they were better than us, and they wouldn't seat us despite the fact that there were empty tables. Go somewhere else!

too good for words...but here goes anyway. I arrived at 7 but guess what my date was horribly late,I was given a seat at the bar and the nice lady (sorry I did not ask your name, black sweater with white flowers) offered to put me on the wait and promised I would be first for a table,I was kinda nervous to be in a place alone but was immediately relaxed by the gracious staff.

We had a cheese and meat selection, olives, and a chicken liver pate,my date had a pinot noir and I had a matchbook red, grenache, mouvedre I think it was, everything was delicious and fresh, the condiments with the cheeses were outstanding, I have to tell you from being so nervous I was soon having a wonderful time,I was moved to a cute area by the window which was bar like and it allowed us much room to talk, every member of staff there are super nice and even though it was busy we were not rushed, the bill came $120 which by the way we had 2 glasses of crisp bubbly and 4 glasses of vino the $30 tip was well earned and I should have gave more, the only downside about this great find was when the panini's are pressed or something that gave off a fried smell and as the room is so small I was concerned about my clothes smelling of food, having said that I have to say in my 7 years as a New York resident this has instantly become my absolute favourite place to eat,yes I know there is a u in my spelling because that is the corrrect way to all you yanks lol,ps I am English so I should know....I totally recommend to all to try and will be back there very soon myself, thanks to all the staff :-)

Cheese!. I really liked everything about this place. The ambiance is cool. The service was fantastic. Our server was attentive and had a great sense of humor. And the food was very tasty.

My friend and I shared a Bellwether Farm San Andreas and Willow Hill Farm La Fleurie. They were delicious. They do not take reservations.

Best Wine Bar. i didn't get to eat an actual meal at casellula but i just had to give them 5 stars for the service, wines and appetizers that i did get to sample.

first of all, our waitress was wonderful, friendly, funny, accommodating... she was just awesome. She selected some great wine to go with our cheese. and it was DELICIOUS!!! as was the yummy wine....

it was my first romantic night out in our neighborhood... the first of many at casellula, i'm sure.

i know it's a trek for the rest of you... but, i don't think you'll be disappointed.

Impeccable Service. I give them 5 stars because of the impeccable service. The wine bar has a great ambiance. The wait staff is making sure everyone is happy.

The food parings are always right on. The selection of wine is hand picked and impressive. I've dined here at least a dozen times and have never had a bad experience. If you choose to go, I suggest going to there on Sundays because it is not extremely busy. You really get your buck with the amount of food courses and wine to go with each course.
