Don't Go if you like good service. The food is “hit and miss” depending on who the chefs are that day. Some make the food presentable, others not at all. The prices are higher and the food is mediocre. The service is the worst EVER. I refuse to re-enter the place. I have never felt more treated lie garbage when my money is part of what would have kept this place alive.

Good food, poor service. I always ask for delivery from this place,because it is near where I work. The food over there is not much to complain. Their Age tofu and Fried Udon is bit greasy to my taste.But overall, They have really great food over there. I love their tiger eyes( which is squid stuffed with shrimp and seeweeds ) Their Pumpkin roll is lovely too, bigger than other sushi place I have tried. and it is hot and Fresh, and crunchy just the right way. Well, I have to run down a big list of food that I like about theirs.



I called this place today, and the person who answer my phone speaks really fast English that I don't really understand what she was saying. I am not complaining about her accent though. She first put me on hold for 1 minute and 40 seconds without telling me before. So I was sitting there , with phone next to my ear, listening to the vague conversation she had with other people. It was bit disappointing ,annoying. then I have to hang up and call again. She did say sorry When I mentioned that she was ignoring me before. I forgive her. maybe she works too hard, maybe the boss needs to hire more people so the server can provide a better service to their customer.

I read about someone's comment about the slow delivery speed as I was waiting for my food to arrive.. I was hungry, So I timed it. 42 Minutes. I mean It wasn't bad. But don't order for delivery from them if you are in a rush or if you are hungry.

Great Sushi Place in Mid Town. We had a great dinner at the Toyama Sushi. We took the chefs selection for two (it is called omakase) and it was all worth the money if not even more than that. Prices are anyhow quite reasonable for a mid town sushi place. Service was quick and very friendly. I definitly recommend to go there if you are interested in excellent reasonable priced raw fish selection. If you are looking for the sushi place where all the wannabes want to be seen a show them self, this is the wrong place... continue to go to the "sushi of gari" or other overprices palces...

Amazing Sushi Restr... Toyama Sushi was so amazing that I can't imagine ever going back.

Wait, what did I just say?

No, you heard me correctly. When something is just so once-in-a-lifetime amazing, it can't be duplicated.

Eating at Toyama Sushi isn't a meal. It's an experience. I would recomemnd to anyone.

I will visit again. Decided to try for the first time at Toyamai a few weeks ago after the recommendation of a friend. I was pretty impressed! I'm not a sushi expert but it tasted good for me, The food was fresh and we didn't have to wait too long. Will probably go back to Toyama at some point in the near future.

Amazing sushi, poor service. Sushi is amazing here. We went for lunch, and they have fresh fish with great lunch deals.

Our server was horrible. He was rude, abrupt and rushed. I would go back on an off hour versus the crazy lunch hour.

Great Sushi but Terrible Delivery Times. I had given up on sushi until I had the sushi at Toyama. I was pleasantly surprised on how delicious it was but we often place our orders for delivery and it ends up taking over an hour to deliver. We called various times and were told that our food was on the way - good sushi or not, we arent too happy with the service and doubt we will be ordering from here in the future

AMAZING!. I am a BIG sushi lover! I live in Brooklyn and typically go to Chikurin (cant beat good sushi for $2.50 a roll); but this is the city and naturally everything is more expansive. Sushi here costs on average of $5.00 per a roll (6) which is actually pretty cheap for the city! Most importantly the sushi quality is amazing (a lot better then chikurin even!). Service is top notch as well; a lot better then some of the fancy restaurants that I have been to. I highly recommend!

Great restaurant!. Toyama sushi is one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever been to. The atmosphere is great, the service is good, the sushi is delicious and the presentation is amazing! To everybody who loves sushi: go check this place out.

Incredible sushi!. I have tried a lot of sushi places but I keep going back to Toyama, I love this place! For the real sushi lovers, you should try the Toyama roll. The food is really great and the way they serve it is just spectacular. They have sushi for everybody from experts to beginners, and even vegetarians.
