Whistlin Dixie's Texas Tavern: The newest nightlife addition @ 51st & 11th Ave. Known for it's food, drinks & fun atmosphere, we are a crowd pleaser. Wash down a Home Cooked menu item with bottled & draft beers & a super friendly staff. With Ice Tea flavored Vodka drinks, & beer games they never disappoint. The days of "Red Rock" & "Yogis" may be long gone, but the atmosphere exists in this secrete niche. Great Lunch & dinner specials offered everyday. Happy Hour drink specials range from Monday night's discounted beer for Triva, to an Off the Wall Wednesday, hosted by MTV, featuring Rock band & X Box Competitions. Later in the week, Dixie's offers Thursday's Live Music Jams & Free Beer Fridays. Weekends are packed with Zog sports team members having the time of their lives! Thursdays are booked with Charity Parties-drinking to raise money for their charity Parties.

I celebrated my birthday here in the beginning of June and I could not have been more pleased. The staff was VERY accomodating from setting up an open bar for my party, to getting me and my friends a beer pong table. The bartenders were also great and served us our drinks pretty quick. I would absolutely recommend having a party here or even just going here on the weekend/during the week, if you're looking for a fun and chill place.

This is a great local bar to meet up with friends, play some beer pong and just have a good time! The staff there is great and makes everyone feel welcome!

Texas flair in Mid Town. Plenty of screens to view your favorite game over a pitcher of carbonated adult beverage. Grab a sampler platter and feed your machine. A state of the art juke box with a wide selection too. A young and boisterous crowd competing at Beer Pong is fun to watch. Find a partner because you're next!

The Extras:
Everyone in the bar gets a free teguila shot for evey homerun the Mets team makes.
When to Go:
Check their website for daily drink specials like 2-for-1 tequila shots on Tuedays or $10 unlimited Texas Tavern margaritas every Friday. Specials run from 5pm-8pm for both.
Know Before You Go:
Every night is also dedicated to certain guests honoring them with drink specials. Exotic dancers drink free every Sunday night, while FU students have ulimited drinks for only $15, every Saturday from 9pm-11pm. Check their website or call for other specials.
