The Scene – A no-frills roadhouse picnic vibe is achieved without the aid of (liquid) smoke and mirrors--just a few family photos, a mounted fish, checkered vinyl tablecloths and raw-wood wainscoting. The friendly, causal service makes diners feel right at home, and the 19 seats invite neighborly interaction. – – The Food – The barbecue-focused menu gets right down to business. There are no long lists of appetizers or salads--just generously stuffed sandwiches or dinner platters stacked with the likes of beer-steamed ribs slathered in a homemade spice rub and juicy…

The food is super cheap. The selection is awesome and the sides are to die for. I wouldn't take a girl here on the first date as its really a 3rd date kinda place (you know...when you know that she digs your mo-jo) The portions are obscene, so don't be afraid to chicken out and take some home. (better that, than forcing it and falling into the inevitable food coma).
It was more food than Thanksgiving dinner!

I loved it. The ribs fell off the bone. The Mac-N-Cheese was awesome. The okra was cooked to perfection. I have never wanted to review a restaurant before but I have to because this place was amazing! I will take all guests from out of town here!
- Pros: Family style for $25, BYOB, Location
- Cons: No Bathroom
Best fried green tomatoes EVER.

Try the fried green tomatoes while you can and don't miss the potatoes au gratin. The sweet tea is the best in the city with - I kid you not - free refills. Go early because it fills up fast.
- Pros: fresh well-cooked food, friendly service, tasty!
- Cons: not next-door to my apartment
