unreliable. Pet Maven is not reliable re cat sitting services. They had to switch sitters on me at last minute twice (even though I booked in advance) handled the switch very unprofessionally. Will not use again.

The Pet Maven to the Rescue!. My cat is a huge fluffy bear of an animal. He tends to get lethargic in the warmer months wearing his fur coat, so in the summer of 2007 I began looking online for an in-home groomer who would be willing to wrestle dear Allister into a cooler summer outfit.

I got lucky and found The Pet Maven!!! What a gem!

Not only did she have Allister looking fabulous but she was able to do so with grace!

Allister is large, set in his ways and strong. I was worried about taking him to a groomer because I was afraid the trauma of travel plus the process itself might be too much for the big guy.

The Pet Maven has become a summer time tradition. She has the precision, patience and obvious love for animals you would hope for in a groomer and will travel to the comforts of your home.

If you choose The Pet Maven you will definitely be pleased with the results. She is outstanding!

In-Home, Stress-Free Dog Groomer. My bichon is 12 years old and trembles when I used to take her to the groomer. Not only was she locked in a cage for the better part of the day, I never knew when she would be done. With The Pet Maven, she's in her own environment, cage free, and she is completely beautiful in just about 2 hours. I couldn't ask for more, and she uses all organic products. Rates are reasonable considering we do not have to go outside. What could be better than that??

Great grooming for cats AND dogs. Helen of the Pet Maven was very professional from our phone consultation right to the actual groom. Unlike pet grooming shops who use physical restraints, Helen uses little to no restraint and gets the job done!

My Mitzy, a maltese mix, had the dirtiest paws and a bunch of mats. When Helen was done grooming, Mitzy was gleaming white and silky smooth. What more could I ask for?

I definitely recommend Helen's grooming services.

Great groomer, bad attitude.. Yes, I spoil my dog but doesn't everyone? She came on time, was very thorough but left a huge mess. When she arrived I had the doggy hose hooked up to the shower, shampoo and conditioner and towels all laid out. My dog has sensitive skin and is allergic to practically everything so I made sure she used my shampoo & conditioner. I already explained that my dog has been severely sliced open with clippers and have been nicked and cut by several other groomers before so naturally the kid is nervous. Anyways, grooming went well she was very gentle and his cut was beautiful, but is it seriously necessary to complain about your client in front of your client? Maybe she was in a bad mood or something. Yes my dog is antsy and he wouldn't sit still and refuses to give her his paw, he's just afraid of groomers. She kept saying stuff like, "No wonder you're so bad, your mommy spoils you rotten." I'm not one of those "purse puppy" people, my dog is well trained and I work very hard at it everyday. Anyways, it was expensive, I paid her and gave her a very good tip. She basically told me she refuses to groom him again unless I wasn't around, it's been two years I haven't called her since. It wouldn't have hurt to be a little nicer to me or my dog.

Top Notch Groomer. Helen is a true professional. She has made the grooming experience less stressful not just for our cat but for ourselves. Helen genuinely loves her clients. The home grooming experience could not be more pleasant.

Best cat groomer!. One of my cats absolutely needs to be groomed every 6 months. After my vet's office stopped grooming, I was in a panic. I found Helen of Pet Maven online and after speaking to her on the phone, felt very comfortable letting her work on Betsy.

I was not disappointed. Helen was pleasant and professional and did an amazing grooming job on a very matted and unhappy cat. Betsy has never looked so good and seems to feel 100 times better than pre-haircut!

I highly recommend Helen's work and will definitely use her again.

Thank God for Helen !!. Prior to meeting Helen, I was bringing my cat to neighborhood grooming salons. It was always a stressful experience. Every time I found a groomer I felt comfortable leaving my cat with, they were never to be found again. I hated passing my cat to strangers knowing she was going to be left with a bunch of other animals and possibly man handled....very stressful for my 16 yr old cat and me! Finding Helen was a blessing! She comes to my home and grooms my cat right on my couch. Helen is gentle with my frail, timid cat; I trust her and my cat always looks beautiful! Grooming is no longer a dreaded task, thank goodness!!!

Professional and friendly. We spoke with Helen several times on the phone before scheduling her visit, since none of our cats (all seniors) had ever been properly groomed. She answered all our questions and put us at ease. She arrived on time, was very friendly with us and the cats, and handled her "client" with great skill (even though he struggled quite a bit!) She shaved him down and gave him a shampoo. We'll definitely use her again for our other cats - highly recommended.
