Working with Theresa has done wonders for me and my body!!! After having some serious health issues I needed to get my body back in working order. Not just cosmetically but functionally also. Her knowledge of the body mechanics and how Pilates relates to it and her patience in teaching the pilates method has helped me feel so much better. Meeting with Theresa on a steady basis has just simply become an important part of my well being.

I have been doing pilates for about 2+ years now and I can say without a doubt that pilates has made a deep impact in my life and also within myself. Before pilates, my posture was so horrible and I was having constant tension/pain in my back & shoulders. After seeing myself deteriorating, I decided to take a session. I met Theresa at Power Pilates/Equinox. After having one session with Theresa, I knew that I found my holy grail~ Soon afterwards, Theresa opened up her own private pilates studio. She's been my instructor for the past 2 years and my outer body & inner soul have never felt better. She is full of energy as she calmly teaches you the correct form/movements. If you can't follow her verbal instructions, she would demonstrate it for you and will make great analogies to help you remember the movement for next time. Before each session, she will find out where the tension/pain is in your body and will ask you if there are any areas you would want to work on. Afterwards, she will help you relieve the pain/stress and also work on your problem areas. Theresa caters to each of her client's individual needs and gives you all the attention you and your body deserves. Each session is intense but she gives you the motivation to finish it. Through each session of pilates, my outer, physical body has changed tremendously. My posture is no longer hunched/slouched and the tension/pain has reduced greatly in my back & shoulders. My core has tightened, my arms/legs became more toned, and I have also lost weight. But aside from the physical aspect, I realized that my inner soul has gone through a significant transformation. I became more confident that I saw myself strutting down the city streets with determination and approaching people with confidence. I also became proud of myself for accomplishing in looking great and found a deep fulfillment within me when I realized that as long as I put my mind and effort into something, I was able to accomplish anything.
Pros: Inspirational instructor, lovely atmosphere and environment, a highly efficient and effective workout!
