Convenient and Great Opticians and Doctor. The opticians there-both Joe and Steve have always been very kind and patient to adjust my glasses (I have three kids and a dog). The selection of frames are great ! The doctor is very good as well and had examed me a few times for both contacts and glasses. Just stay away from the extremely rude girl with the short black hair at the front desk, who I had the "pleasure" of encountering last monday. A fine establishment like this one should pick better representatives! All in all, the doctor and the opticians are definally worth coming back.

Need a great optician? Try these guys!. I'm relatively new to New York City and needed to find an optician. I'm not easy to fit new glasses for because of a bad astigmatism and previous retinal surgery. I was very satisfied with thoroughness of my eye examination. The have the right equipment and and did not rush me through the examination. They had a great selection of frames and I was able to find 2 frames that I liked. The time to get the glasses was around a week which is about average. If you are over on the Eastside I recommend you give these folks a try.

Worst Customer Service Experience from a Professional. Frankly, the worst customer service I've ever come across in a professional setting.

They couldn't locate my membership (even though I gave them my vision card), and they didn't seem to really care. They told me they couldn't help me, refused to contact my provider and tried to explain the vision/health care industry as if I was a 7 year old.

After calling my healthcare provider when I got home, who called this place, my account was found. There was no explanation and no apology from Glasses on First. They then had the chutzpah to ask if I wanted to reschedule.

Frankly, the most effective recourse consumers have (and sorry about the cliche) is with our feet. Although this location is very convenient, their complete lack of courtesy and effort in assisting me means that I will never return to this establishment.
