Great professionals, great hair!.
I went based on the overwhelming positive reviews on City Search and was trying to "undo" a bad hair experience. Other reviewers were right on target, Rosemarie did a wonderful job on color for me, I can't remember feeling so great about the soft natural look - that totally covered my "greys". Anjan really took the time to get a sense of my hair texture and what he was working with based upon my too short too conservative previous cut. He did a phenomenal job working with my goal of growing out more youthful hot looking long hair that suits me.
The level of professionalism and warmth of every single staff member was so evident throughout my experience.
It is a week past my appointment and that is the true test - I'm so happy I found my new place!
The bottom line for me was that I was actually LISTENED to, might be a minor point for some people for me its crucial.
I will wholeheartedly recommend Pangea to everyone that I can.

My search was over many years ago when..... I followed Rosemarie to Pangea Salon from Stoll Salon and Vidal Sassoon, she is a fantastic colorist, knowing what color would go with your skin tone and your type of hair, at the same time knowing how to make the color well defined without looking harsh. She always gives me great highlights and colors, I have never, ever been the slightest bit disappointed with the results and I’m very picky about my highlights & colors. …She's outstanding!!! A total perfectionist and so nice. I will never go anywhere else, I highly recommend Rosemarie.

A Professional Colorist for Men.
My friend recommended the salon after she had her hair colored by one of their staff members named Emily Santos. I often do not use salons because I go to a traditional barber shop.
Unfortunately, I have started to gray a bit and felt self-conscious and did not think my typical barber shop would do a good job covering my gray hair. So, when my friend raved about Emily, I decided to go.
She did a great job and charged reasonable prices for her work! The color was very natural and the atmosphere was really comfortable for both men and women. I highly recommend Emily whether you are male or female for all your hair color needs!

Best Bikini Waxing. I was looking for a place to get my Brazilian bikini wax but i didn't know where to go at first After asking for a while one of my very best friends told me about this place around union sq called Pangea salon. She told me that the staff were very friendly and professional, so I made an appointment with Theresa to get my Brazilian bikini wax.At first I didn't really expect much but to my surprise Theresa was very friendly, gentle and very professional.Not only that but Theresa made me feel very comfortable while getting my Brazilian wax. I highly recommend Theresa Barros to anyone who is thinking of getting her Brazilian bikini wax.

People stop me in the street to ask who does my hair! Deborah is the reason.
She is a great stylist: precise cut & knock out color. She is skilled at working with you to achieve the look you want, but knows how to adjust that “fantasy” for what is going to work best with your hair. She keeps up with all the latest techniques and delivers professional, warm service. I know she is an expert at Japanese Straightening and she works on all types of hair.
I have recently followed Deborah from her last salon to Pangea. I couldn’t imagine anyone else doing my hair! I can see why she chose Pangea: they offer friendly service in a great location.

Pristine Waxing for Less. I have followed Teresa from J-sisters right to my local favorite spot for hair glosses and color. She does a fantastic job and you can expect to be in and out of your bikini wax in about 15 mins. Her work is perfect, the wax is top-shelf, and she is a master at distracting you during the process. And Tanya the salon owner always makes time to locate my hidden grey hairs and perfectly disguises them with a blend of gloss and color. Plus they have the latest magazines, complimentary drinks, and are located in the middle of my favorite neighborhood. One stop shopping, can I say more?

Best Hair Cuts & Service in the Big Apple.
The Pangea Salon has a friendly atmosphere and a talented staff that I had the pleasure to meet!!!
I been getting hair cuts from Tanya Balon for over 12 years and in all this time I must say she is one of the best hair stylist / colorist in her profession I ever dealt with! She is very knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant to deal with and she knows preciously what I like. So every time I walk out of there I feel and look like a million bucks!!!
