Spitzer's Corner is a new american gastropub located on a prime corner in the fashionable lower east side. Spitzer's captures the essence of a true europeon gastropub with an american and local spin. The menu, designed by Michelin star-rated chef Wayne Nish features signature items like the Hickory Short Rib Burger, French Kisses, Sweetbread Po Boy and BLT & E. Our carefully crafted menu pairs well with our selection of world class craft beers and microbrews on tap, or with one of our diverse wines. Perhaps you've never heard of Rogue Dead Guy Ale, but the proprietors of Spitzer's Corner have, and with an astounding selection of draft beers--plus additional choices by the bottle--even the biggest brewsky snobs will be pleasantly surprised. (And for non beer-drinkers, there's also a full bar.) French windows give way to a dark wood interior, starkly decorated with hanging industrial-style lamps and very little else--perfect for the lively crowd of hipsters and beer dorks who occupy the long communal tables and benches, sipping Hedonism Red Ale and humming along to tunes by bands like The…
Mac & cheese
by Lchang69
This place has the best mac & cheeze. I'm a beer girl and the beer here is great. Only downside is that if you want to stretch after a meal there isn't a lot of room as its more like a restaurant.
- Pros: Best Mac & Cheeze, great beer, food is above average
- Cons: gets tight with crowds, not enough hang out space
Get your friends and grab a beer!
by gripdxd
This is a great place to grab a few beers and hang with friends. The outdoor seating is great and the prices are good too! It's a great place to socialize and hang. Lots of fun in the summer. Lots of beer varieties too! I really enjoyed it. It a busy place, so it maybe hard to snag seating. Fun place for happy hour as well.
- Pros: Beer, Seating, Casual, Free spirted & Food
- Cons: Busy

The Details on Spitzer's Corner
Fun Fact:
According to the bartender, the name "Spitzer's Corner" is not a less-than-subtle allusion to the former governor of New York, but refers to the previous tenant, a sewing establishment that occupied the space for many years.
The Extras:
You'll never have to wait in line or contend with unreasonable or uncomfortable crowds, thanks in part to a back area that offers additional space when the main room fills.
Food Served:
Foodies will approve of the carefully wielded menu, which features $4 bar snacks such as pork fat popcorn, a complete raw bar, and small and large plates like the hickory burger, PBLT (crispy pork belly, lettuce and pickled tomato on brioche) and beer-battered oysters.
