Excellent immigration services
by Anne H at Citysearch
Many lawyers have left us bankrupt and in despair. On meeting Ms. Mohammed, she stated that we were just running headlong into a brickwall over and over because we were using the same strategy. She discussed several alternatives and helped us choose the one that was fastest. Thanks to her well grounded and updated knowledge of immigration law we are establishing an american family.
- Pros: Readily available, ethical, specialized in immigration
- Cons: to the point
more like a legal aid at best
by tayibbiizza at Citysearch
Immigration agents will win 99 out 100 case if you have her represent you in a "real case". don't harm yourself, she ok if you need help filling out a work permit application or check your application is complete, check spelling etc. not a lawyer in practical term or in terms of experience knowledge just a part time legal aid at best. don't shoot your self in the foot go to someone who has the toughness wisdom when it comes to immigration matters. Too much at steak with such an important matter in life.
Good luck all
- Pros: Casual service
- Cons: careful how you present yrself to her.she can be judgmental
An Attorney who Returns Calls!
by Dave39 at Citysearch
I went to Alisha Mohammed on the recommendation of a friend, after already going through two immigration attorneys who took my time and took my money. The first one never had time to talk to me, never returned phone calls, and when I did pin him down, always rushed through my visit. The second one started out great, but his attention to filing deadlines ultimately led to my Department of Labor case being closed, bringing me back to square one.
So when I met Alisha I was at my wits end and had nothing to lose. I was skeptical when she advised me to file a brand new case since my previous attorneys mysteriously coudn't locate all my paperwork. However I'm thankful I did, as for the first time, an attorney filed everything on time, was there to answer my questions and explain what was being done, and actually kept me up to speed via phone calls and emails.
I totally recommend her for immigration services, because she is both compassionate and professional at the same time. It's difficult to come across attorneys who are honest and ethical. For the record, my case was an employment based adjustment of status under Sec 245i, where I got labor certified, filed PERM, I140 and then I485.
I know there are many other people out there who have gone through or are still going through the same challenges, so this should give them some hope.
